Back on Battlefield Bad Company 2, which runs a lot better on my (work) laptop because it has a better processor than my PC, :monster:. It's starting to get old though.

Bought Magic the Gathering off of Steam... but fuck me, that game's rigged. They intentionally made the first opponent overpowered and cheating, and while you do have some good cards in your initial decks, the game simply doesn't let you have them.

I have problems with that. Fuck you. The demo version of the same guy is also a lot easier (read: beatable). This is what you get when you sell a game cheaply in the hopes of selling the equivalent of DLC's.

And no, it's not a lack of skill. The cards are just shit (1), and when you do have good cards or a tactic that works (example: unblockable creatures with equipment to boost their powarz), the opponent suddenly conjures up a card that destroys it. Hax, rigged, and they're just lucky it's not poker or some game where you bet money else they'd get pwned.

Assassins Creed II

Pretty good atm (about 6 hours in), although I'm feeling that even though it's just as sandbox as the previous game I'm being railroaded through a very linear game. Also no awesome chase music every time I assassinate someone.

so atm feeling like they improved on some things and dodged on the others, don't quite consider it better than the first game per se. Also, lots of tutorials and whatnot which feels like a step backwards compared to the first game where at least you started off with everything and spent the entire game getting it back :monster:

SSSSSsoooooooooooo tried out New Vegas

okay, I guess. Honestly atm I don't understand the hype it's being given by my friends but I suppose it'll get better. Good new mechanics combined with old ones do make an improvement, but the opening sucks compared to the one in Fallout 3.

^I own that game; I have yet to play it. What happened to ACII?

I haven't played anything in like a week, so I need to pick that FFIV back up. :sadpanda:

Playing DC Universe Online, on the PS3. Gotta say I am more impressed with this game than I gave it credit for. Really enjoying myself so far. The customization levels are pretty damn awesome and I enjoy the combat.

I quite like the Magic game once it's past the stupid first enemy, :monster:. Challenging and tactical without being unfair etc.

Almost at the end of the first campaign too. I like how they're trying to tie in the video game with the actual real-life card game by organizing events at Magic stores and events and the like for goodies (in the form of stuff for your profile for the PS3 or - gasp - pictures of dragons for your pc.)

It makes me want to seek out other players etc, :monster:. Nothing particularly close by though. There's a gamestore downtown that sells Magic cards though, I might ask around. And make an idiot out of myself, :monster:.

My mate has the recently released AFL game for his PS3. I think the gameplay is better than your typical soccer video game. Of course the sport of AFL is totally different to soccer, and I prefer AFL to soccer and all, but I'm trying to be as objective as possible here :P. One of the main reasons its better is that the gameplay is more dynamic. Not only do you have pass kick and goal kick functions, you got tackle, catch (ie: mark), mark spoilers, handballing, and kick modifiers, as well as weather interference. It has challenging throw-in and ball-up stuff amongst other things as well. Player stats (like height) also add to strategy elements as well.

For those unfamiliar with the sport, it probably isn't even available in your country, and you'd probably not understand what the fuck you're supposed to do, but I think its a well-produced game.

I got up to the part where Mario flips the fuck out so I was all "pssh I'm a fucking Assassin, I'm not entitled to give a shit about your problems"

But anyway I need to finish FFXIII as highest priority tbh. Asscreed II and F:NV should wait.

^ What part are you stuck on?

Make sure you're constantly switching their weapons around so they can level fast, it makes a huge difference (i srsly did not know how to level when i first got this game oh man)! I also just watch how people on youtube play and them copy them l-lol.

For me... I actually read the tutorial and paid attention to it instead of ignoring it because of TLDR.

I also skipped the arena in the beginning because I didn't know it existed.

Limbo.

It's.... ok so far. Not quite as hooked as I hoped that I'd be, and I figure I'm about halfway through.
you have to activate a switch that moves a chain over a big electrical platform, and if you fail to grab it, you fall & die
. I'm gonna wait to see how it ends, and see what I think about it then before giving any specific opinions.
