Well, Season 2 just came out on Netflix, and I watched through it again (my lovely partner getting to see if for the first time) and DAMN I still love this show, and want more of it. On that note: Greg Weisman is hoping that Netflix folk can help drive up some hype for a Season 3, and the other day, Khary Payton (the voice of Aqualad) joined in with similar sentiments.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for DC to step in and give it a proper ending at some point.

Even if the series got renewed, I doubt it would ever end with a "proper ending" since Greg Weisman, one of the two showrunners, has repeatedly stated that he never writes his series with neatly wrapped up endings as because he views the story as unending like real life. It's an aspect of his writing that can be both a positive and negative for different people.

If meta human trafficking is going to be a plot point in season 3, I wonder if the Dark Side Club (which involved trafficking of meta human teens/youth) storylines from the comics will get drawn upon since it would also tie into the Darkseid and New Gods cliffhanger plot point as well.
