I'm really fed up with networks making bullshit excuses to cancel good shows when there's so much crap on the air. Honestly CN can fuck off, the only redeemable quality they have left is that they brought back Toonami.

I don't have cable anymore, how's the advertising for Toonami? Not advertising their shows is how they killed it the first time.

I also recall them holding the last episodes of Samurai Jack forever.

WE NEED A NEW SYSTEM, THIS SYSTEM IS BORKED

I don't really see any advertising for Toonami but tbf I rarely watch CN so maybe they do advertise it.

They do drop ads for it occasionally, but the Toonami fan base right now is pretty solid and really vocal. We trend the shows on Twitter every Saturday as they air, and seem to be doing grassroots viewer ship well. I kinda hope that they get Sym-Bionic Titan another season, because it would give hope to a lot of the other shows that CN has been treating like shit.

Welp, called that Darkseid bit. I was worried they were going to settle and just say Godfried belonged to the Light only.

Hopefully it gives it enough oomph to renew in some form. Young Justice Unlimited, comic books, etc. Preferably a new show please.

I was ready for Wally to show up at some point near the end (because comic book deaths and all that, he could have been beamed to a pocket dimension for all we know). But that was a lot of Flashes for one show, and somebody had to go.

I like how they handled it with passing the torch to Impulse instead of just offing Barry. Even though he predates the others, this show's about Young Justice/Teen Titans, and offing Barry wouldn't have had as much effect.

That was me after watching Endgame, I loved it and I'm fucking pissed, Wally’s dead, the episode ended on a cliffhanger and the series is cancelled, fuck you a billion times Cartoon Network. :rage:

Anyways as for my feelings on the finale, despite the slightly rushed feeling, I was still very satisfied. I like the open ended ending (even though is not getting renewed), it is one the elements of Greg Weisman's writing style that I really like, the view that stories never really have endings (I understand though how for some people they would not enjoy this philosophy for TV shows) not to say I don't also really enjoy stories that are more close-ended as well. As for the Cassie/Tim hookup I think that was always going to a last minute thing whether or not Invasion had gotten 26 episodes instead of the 20 they had, I think it was part of the open-ended elements (like Apokolips) that would have gotten follow up in a potential third season. As for Wally's death it was very sad and I think actually liked the suddenness of it kind of made it all the more tragic. And people who are blaming DC Comics for it are being ridiculously paranoid, as others have stated previously the comics division of DC has very little no control over Warner Bros. Animation and the major plot points of Invasion had been planned out well before DC's New 52. While I do wish Wally had gotten some more focus this season (and/or in addition to the season having had more episodes) I was still tragically satisfied by his death. Whether or not he would have been resurrected in potential future season I couldn't really say. I honestly could see Weisman and Vietti choosing to have Wally's death be one of the show's permanent ones (in a hypothetical future of more seasons) but also equally viable, them resurrecting him in a future (in a non-speedforce related way, mind you*). The end results of Artemis', Nightwing's, and Superboy's and M'gann's relationship was all very satisfying for me as well, Blue Beetle and his scarab's relationship end result was also extremely satisfying. I do hope the fan effort can get CN to reconsider renewing the show, or the show continuing in some form.

*Weisman has stated no Speedforce effectively ever. Also he stated that The Flashes can't time travel through the use of their speedpowers (meaning they need a machine like Bart).
He has stated this multiples times:

Also GTLAS had a great season finale as well, bittersweet but hopeful. Not much more I can really say. I loved how I could get this and YJ on DC Nation, a character-driven show and a plot-driven show, I really liked that variety.

Took the survey.

What I posted in the box at the end, to give an idea of what to write, this is really what they look at:

Highly respect the show. It was a fun ride since it aired in 2010. The writing and design work have been very influential.

I understand action and superhero shows tend to have a life expectancy of 2 seasons now (around 26 episodes each), when it used to be 4. However, it would be nice if the show re-brands itself, or spins off into other shows with the same style of format, where plots are more interconnected and meaty.

I watched the show grow from just a few fans like me keeping up with it, to people talking about it in places that usually don't mention television animation (review blogs like Destructoid and other video game-related sites.)

I'm usually against teen shows, because most times they're programming-mandated, but this series worked that angle perfectly so that it stayed mature for everybody.

I also liked how the writers had the entire DC Universe to work with, but made all of that history work for the show and its main characters. It wasn't just the adults patting their sidekicks on the back every episode, there were dynamics between everybody.

I looked forward to new episodes every week, and this was basically the only reason I watched U.S. cable again (Walking Dead was one of the shows I'd purchase too, but this show maintained my interest since day 1).

I'm not sure if WB has done so yet, but I look forward to purchasing season box sets of the series. The show would look really nice in some kind of foil sleeve or tin case format. Maybe a collectible pvc statue of some kind included?

YOUNG JUSTICE: INVASION: "Endgame": stuff cut for time

Hey gang,
I hope you enjoyed "Endgame", our second season finale of Young Justice: Invasion.
A little bit of dialogue was cut from the final script for time, and I thought you might like to see it here:
1. We revisit the broken translator gag at the beginning of the episode:
TRIBUNE #1 (VO PRE-LAP): Kesla vane… [Work…] Kesla vaaane, ka SKAH-vey keezy kretchmar, suh frag ka! [Wooork, you stinking little machine, or I end you!] (beat) There. <sigh> Let the defendants rise.
2. G. Gordon Godfrey leads an anti-Reach protest at the U.N. before the battle on the Reach Ship above:
GODFREY: Folks, tell Ol' G. Gordon - and the world - what you think of the Reach!
CROWD: Hate the Reach! / That drink made Grandma sick! / Why are they still here?! / Send 'em packing! / <boos, hisses, etc.>
3. When Blue Beetle first arrives on the Watchtower:
BLUE BEETLE: Awesome…
NIGHTWING: Blue. Focus.
BLUE BEETLE: Sorry. First time here and… never mind.
CAPTAIN ATOM: The natural disasters have escalated. The rest of the League is spread thin saving lives across the globe.
4. In the middle of Lex's call to the Watchtower:
LEX LUTHOR: Secretary Tseng was kind enough to let me borrow his frequency, as I have a possible solution to our mutual problem.
ATOM: A problem created by you and the Light when they collaborated to bring the Reach to Earth.
LEX LUTHOR: Perhaps. But as I believe you know, the Light always planned to betray the Reach. And I certainly have no desire to see the Earth destroyed.
AQUALAD: I believe we should hear him out.
LEX LUTHOR: Thank you, Kaldur'ahm. You are missed in our corner.
5. At the gathering of 40 heroes, while Lex and Blue Beetle are prepping the "Eggs":
IMPULSE: I'm so feeling the mode. I came back from the future to stop the Reach from enslaving the Earth… not to let them destroy it.
KID FLASH: You didn't let them do anything. You stopped them from killing Flash and helped us save Blue. Not to mention, fought alongside us to bring down the Reach and break up the Light.
Kid Flash RUFFLES a smiling Impulse's hair.
KID FLASH (CONT): Now you're going to help save the world. The Reach will not win this one. Not when there are guys like you around to "crash" them. Did I use that right?
IMPULSE: Close enough. And thanks.
6. Lucas Carr coordinates from the Watchtower:
CAPTAIN ATOM (VO RADIO): Alpha Squad engaging Drones.
CARR: Acknowledged. All Squads report in.
Carr REACTS as the first few call-ins OVERLAP, then the rest become a CACOPHONY.
BLUE BEETLE / FLASH / BLACK LIGHTNING / NIGHTWING / AQUAMAN / BLACK CANARY / BUMBLEBEE / ATOM / SUPERBOY / ROBIN / MISS MARTIAN / ARTEMIS / AQUALAD (VO RADIO): Beta Squad in position. / Gamma Squad has disabled MFD. / Delta Squad engaging enemy. / Epsilon just arriving. / Eta still en route. / Theta's a little busy right now. / Kappa Squad engaged. / Omicron has succeeded. / Rho Squad. No joy yet. / Tau Squad has engaged. / Psi Squad has destroyed all Drones. / Omega Squad arriving now. / Sigma has engaged--
CARR: Whoa, whoa. Sorry. One at a time. Sigma Squad, say again.
AQUALAD (VO RADIO): Repeat: Sigma has engaged Drones.
7. After Kid Flash disables the Paris MFD:
ARTEMIS: Omega Squad has-
Kid Flash <SPEEDS> back to her side and <KISSES> her.
KID FLASH: Look, I know we promised each other we'd get out of this game…
ARTEMIS: But maybe we can have our life together and play hero too…
They <KISS> again.
CARR: Omega Squad. Repeat transmission. Omega?
8. During and just after Virgil and Black Lightning's MFD battle:
VIRGIL: Gotta say, playing hero… it's starting to feel pretty sweet.
BLACK LIGHTNING: I'm not surprised. You show real potential for this gig. You ever need a mentor, Virgil, you just let me know.
VIRGIL: Really?! That would be amazing! But first, you think we could head topside and see my family? I really miss 'em.
9. On the Watchtower with Virgil, Cassie and Tim:
WONDER GIRL: Welcome to the Team, Virgil.
STATIC: Call me Static!
ROBIN: Catchy. What about your pals? I take it they declined our invitation.
STATIC: Well, Arsenal was always more of a solo act. And the others are getting out of the game. Neut went back to his foster family, and Eduardo moved in with his dad. Even Tye went home. I guess his mom's evil boyfriend is out of the picture.
WONDER GIRL: And Asami?
STATIC: She's staying with Tye and his mom. Turns out she and Tye kinda had a thing. And none of us knew.
Wonder Girl and Robin are secretly HOLDING HANDS behind their backs.
ROBIN, WONDER GIRL (UNISON): It happens.
Finally, just because - knowing our fans - this might be of interest, here are the twenty squads that successfully disabled the first twenty MFDs:
1. Alpha - Captain Atom, Eduardo "Ed" Dorado, Jr.
2. Beta - Blue Beetle, Impulse
3. Gamma - Flash (Barry Allen), Plastic Man
4. Delta - Black Lightning, Virgil Hawkins
5. Epsilon - Nighwing, B'arzz O'oomm
6. Zeta - Rocket, Adam Strange
7. Eta - Aquaman, Tempest
8. Theta - Black Canary, Asami "Sam" Koizumi
9. Iota - Green Arrow, Captain Marvel
10. Kappa - Bumblebee, Guardian
11. Lambda - Red Tornado, Flash (Jay Garrick)
12. Mu - Doctor Fate, Blue Devil
13. Nu - Red Arrow, Arsenal
14. Omicron - Atom, Tye Longshadow
15. Pi - Zatanna, Batgirl
16. Rho - Superboy, Wolf
17. Sigma - Aqualad, Lagoon Boy
18. Tau - Robin, Wonder Girl
19. Psi - Miss Martian, Beast Boy
20. Omega - Artemis, Kid Flash
I'll post the credits tomorrow and start answering questions on Wednesday...

I can see a lot of things being explored, like Jason Todd and the first Blue Beetle. Hope the cutscenes get outsourced to the same animation studios as the series. CG cutscenes would be okay I guess, but actual 2D animation would make my day.

With some editing, you could piece it all together like a missing season.

EDIT: I also see Aqualad's friends in those shots, so we could finally get to see what happened in the timeskip.

For a brief moment when I saw that this thread had been revived I let myself think that maybe just maybe the series had finally found a way to come back (other than the comics), alas. Fuck you Cartoon Network, 2 years later and I'm still angry about this. Fuck Teen Titans Go! too, it sucks and pisses me off that that stupid show is on the air and not Young Justice. Like I said 2 years ago, fuck you a billion times Cartoon Network.
