Zackified.

I'm just looking for some equality here. Women have had their time. Now it is time to observe Zack's honour, strength and pride! ...He has alot of it. I'm too cba to elaborate :monster:

No doubt about that, what he did for Cloud speaks volumes about Zack's moral integrity. Seriously, I think Zack's personality is what draws people to the character and not his good looks...

Zack's looks and his personality traits make a nice harmony. When I first time watched Advent Children and found out who was Zack and how he died, I thought it was really touching. Somebody else could just leave Cloud and run. But Zack actually stayed. Also I really liked Zack's optimism, he remained optimistic till the end. And Zack was the first video game character who made me cry in the end...

The original version of his death intrigued me very much, because there he basically cares about Cloud too much, loses his guard, and is then shot to death. It really shows he prioritized his friends above anything else.

The new version is a masterpiece of course, but it is fascinating how even the original one left an impression.

Just kidding :reptar:

To be honest, Zack could look like my grandma and he'd still be one of my favourite characters. Okay, I may be exaggerating, but even if Cloud deserves some merit for saving the goddamn world twice, I can't help but think of Zack as The hero. A guy who dies saving his friend, that's something I really respect. And I'm aware of his fictionality, but I really look up to him. As silly as that sounds. :monster:

I just hope that some lifestreamy ghost or whatever told him "ya d00d, no need to ask, you're a hero nao" after he died. :monster:

Zack is awesome and inspiring, but a lot of affection to his character I think comes from the fact that he died. I don't deny his fresh personality but had he not died he would not be as popular I think.

Cloud on the other hand is the weaker man, who has to overcome tons of tragedy and identity issues. Cloud stays alive and is still a very popular character. So that is why I like Cloud just a tiny bit more than Zack.

I look up at him too XD I even have met a guy who reminded me of Zack. (I mean personality, not the looksXD) I think Zack is so great because he is like real person - has some good and bad traits. And Zack was really good influence to Cloud. And Zack is a hero. A hero who inspired Cloud to become a hero too. I hope that makes sense...
And I'd have liked if Zack had remained alive. I still would be his fangirl XD

^ Me too. :monster: But I agree with Shademp too, I think his death was what caused such an impact on everyone. I think that playing CC knowing he was going to die was what hit me really hard, especially seeing all the things he did and how much he affected everyone around him. To me it was kind of like a time bomb or something - there was this guy who I didn't know much about, except that he was going to die in the end. But I started liking him anyway because he was just that awesome and spent the whole game hoping for some stupid plot twist that would save his life. And then, bam, there he goes to heaven while I bawl my eyes out. D':

Oh, and I think I like Zack and Cloud equally, but for some reason I love picking on Cloud more than Zack. He's such a lovable dork. :wacky:

Zack's "Do you think I became a hero?" line made me sob so many tears. T^T What actually drew me to like Zack in FFVII, was that not much was known about him. We get to see snippets of his character, but not much, and that's what really made me like him. In CC, he was everything I thought he would be and more, and it made me very happy. ;) I'm so glad they decided to tell the tale of Zack, as sad as it may be. What I like about Zack was that he has such a colorful personality. Cheerful, cocky, sad, angry, strong-willed, determined, naive, everything! I'm also the opposite of Shade. Zack dying is what makes me like him even more. Cloud is a bit boring in comparison, when it comes to personality, imo.

I did the same in the ending! And I also was hoping for some plot twist which would let Zack survive T_T I think it was some sort of a way to shock - SW gives you a great character, you start to love/like/admire him and then he dies, but his death was significant to the game and Cloud continued his journey. So at least Zack wasn't forgotten.

I was in denial throughout the whole game, hoping he would survive. The thing with Angeal was pretty cool though.
That and his appearance in ACC, during the fight with Sephiroth

A few years later, lightning struck a second time. Damn, that woman's lucky!

If you fell from the plate in sector 3 you'd still end up falling in Aerith's church. There is some kind of dimensional portal between the slums and the pizza that makes people automatically end up there. :wacky:

Nomura told me, k? :monster:
