    Watch Dogs

Been playing Watchdogs 2 for a while now. It's actually pretty damn good! I feel like this game has gotten much less attention than it deserves. Compared with the first game, it shares many gameplay elements but features a few extra gimmicks (like the flying drone), and (thankfully) the police...

    General Anime Thread

Personally at least I'm continuing with March comes in like a lion, which continues being great, despite the new opening and credits soundtracks being actually bad (the singer of the opening track has a voice for silent films). Other than that, I finally watched Madoka Magica Rebellion, the...

Your thoughts about 2016 in gaming

For me it was another good year of gaming. Although, I think I spent half of it on Fallout 4 :P Other than that: Project CARS, Uncharted 4, Deus Ex, Rise of the Tomb Raider, FF XV, Pro Evo 2017 and Gravity Rush remastered. IMO Uncharted 4 was the best game of 2016.

    I draw sometimes and I'm a 3d Modeler.

I always had the prejudice that making low-poly from high-poly was a hassle (namely if you have to bake all the maps and have to make matching UV unwraps), but to be fair it's something I've never done. I appreciate that you can view it as a sort of puzzle-game :) (I've rather been the type to...

Neat. Thanks for the link :) That's cool stuff - I personally never worked on making game-ready, low-poly assets.

Pro stuff! You have a gallery somewhere? I've always been impressed by what people could do with AutoDesk.

What are you doing 3d modeling with?

    Digitally Enhanced FF7 Backgrounds

Oh, didn't know you were at qhimm forums! Then, I'm just curious about the difference between you method and the ones already out there (like Omzy's). Is it a different filtering?

    FFXV Spoiler-Free Review Article Time

While I certainly do not have the greatest knowledge in anime/manga/light novels, I did come across some very fine pieces of work in the recent years (IMO, for this year, the anime of Erased, Re:Zero, and March comes in like a lion stand out - they're derived from manga, light novel, and manga...

    Nier

^ Finished the demo last night, I liked it - probably convinced me to get the game (haven't played the first game). I really agree that the combat is fast and responsive, it feels fluid and seamless. I like how the different camera angles is a refreshing ingredient to the fights by making them...

    Digitally Enhanced FF7 Backgrounds

Hey Cloud_S, I don't mean to rain on your parade (actually I'd rather spare you some unnecessary work), but people have already done that kind of job @qhimm forums (and I'm not talking about my own works with Team Avalanche). There are already the 2D HD overhauled field screens for the entire...

**FFXV SPOILERS** What We Can Expect In FFVII:R From FFXV

No, in Fallout 4 you have D-pad mapping across several levels, . I think the Last of Us did something similar. What you described is more in line with what's done in the Dragon Age franchise. The difference doesn't seem much at first glance, but I think the Fallout 4 D-pad mapping is more...

**FFXV SPOILERS** What We Can Expect In FFVII:R From FFXV

Sorry for double-posting, but this time I wanted to rebound on the topic of combat and button mapping. To be honest I think that the D-pad mapping is the best way to go. Thing is, most folks might fear it would limit the player to 4 possible actions, but the Fallout 4 button mapping system...

**FFXV SPOILERS** What We Can Expect In FFVII:R From FFXV

Now that you mention it, I do remember that post too, and I must have reacted to it. I would think that when a concept is a good, it makes sense that several people could independently think of the same idea. Personally, way back, I had made where the lines indicate the type of means of...

**FFXV SPOILERS** What We Can Expect In FFVII:R From FFXV

^ For indoor environments in a city, well... first, to be sincere I now feel at odds with the idea of being able to barge into any home. However, for actually getting indoors, I think that simply placing the camera over the shoulder should work well enough. Then, I wholeheartedly agree...

**FFXV SPOILERS** What We Can Expect In FFVII:R From FFXV

So... Witcher 3 handles exploration seamlessly in a very open-world manner, like Red Dead Redemption if you've played it (very similar since horse riding is the main means of transportation). However, you do not get at all the feeling that you're traveling the world. I'd say you have two main...

    FFXV story/spoiler discussion thread.

Since I've finished the game only recently, I'm browsing this thread only now. First I'd like to say that I've enjoyed reading what people poasted here ; like a lot of people I have mixed feelings about the game. Trying to summarize things... [/LIST]

**FFXV SPOILERS** What We Can Expect In FFVII:R From FFXV

Some thoughts on the map structure, cities, transportation and stuff, in semi-random order... Personally, I've enjoyed what I've seen on the Lucis side of things and its open-worldedness. If a similar recipe were applied to FF VII:R, with some modifications, I really wouldn't mind. Vast...
