The Love Triangle Debate thread of KNEEL BEFORE ZOD OR SUFFER HIS WRATH (ignore the opening posts at your peril) (Round 6)

I thought that claim supposed to be how they were trying to explain Cloud's continued presence in the Seventh Heaven after the game? And the objection to it was because we're told that his feelings for her went beyond skin/boob-deep. I mostly agree with this. I'm of the opinion that Cloud in...

Metal Gear Solid 5 (+ General Series Thread)

Yeah, Quinton Flynn's a very hardworking VA :) It's just that... well, his voice, when made to sound gruff like that, just ends up sounding funny. Admittedly, I wasn't fond of Flynn's voice for Raiden when I first played MGS2, either. I just prefer Kenyu Horiuchi's voice more.

Metal Gear Solid 5 (+ General Series Thread)

These trailers are amazing. However, my biggest complaint so far is that Raiden's English voice reminds me too much of Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin voice in the Spider-Man movie. Raiden's Japanese voice is miles better, IMO.

The Love Triangle Debate thread of KNEEL BEFORE ZOD OR SUFFER HIS WRATH (ignore the opening posts at your peril) (Round 6)

Is there any dialogue between C and T about seeing what's beyond the mountain, anything that happened earlier on in the game? I dunno, it seems like a very specific thing for it to be suddenly brought up near the end of the game.

Things Tifa is not (Common Tifa misconceptions)

I think that describing Tifa as 'angry' sounds fitting, at least during her career as a terrorist. She must have been plenty angry to go down that road in the first place. I think that anger played a major part in that time of her life, even though it not the sole thing that defined her, as she...

    Last Film You've Seen

'The Thing'. The prequel, that is. I thought it was pretty good. I liked that it brought back some of the feel of the original movie.

    Blade Runner 2049

Yeah, the Final Cut is the definitive version. The Director's Cut was actually put together by the studio, based on Scott's original notes from a decade earlier when he was making the movie. I don't think it's available on its own, but the collector's editions in DVD or BD have every version...

    DOS Games

Memorable titles from that era include: Dreamweb - Adventure game, very simple gameplay and puzzles, but, my God, it's atmospheric. The entire game takes place in a rain-drenched dystopian city, and your character, Ryan, has been having a series of dreams of apocalyptic ruin and robed figures...
