Really though, youtube is just... full of such idiots. I think half those people are just trolling. I got into an argument once on youtube where a guy insisted that the people in the WTC deserved to die because they didn't move out of the way of the plane.

I hate to be pedantic, but he spelled gondola correctly.

Also, inb4 someone takes issue with Frosty calling Chrono Cross a "great game." (For the record, it is, or at least it's two-thirds of a great game. Not sure what the hell happened with the second disc where they tried to tell thirty hours' worth of story in ten hours' worth of gameplay, but overall it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the game.)

The hardcore 'clerith is canon' crowd isn't a big as you seem to think. I would assume you have a lot of crossover with the PN forum anyways. Not to mention I would think a lot of those other forums are not as strict about the "CIC" rules. They wouldn't care as much if it were canon.

So it would be a wasted effort me thinks.

Well, yeah. Tifa's telling him not to let himself be defeated by a memory. "Which is it, a memory or us?" isn't Tifa asking Cloud to choose between her and Aeris at a time when both Cloud and Denzel are dying, with an added kidnapping for fun. Seriously, how fucking retarded is that?

They're talking about Cloud's inability to let go of his fear of failure. Her point is that he should let go of the past, of those moments of failure he holds on to -- none of which are ONRY Aeris anyway. That's why Cloud tells Sephiroth to stay there, in his memories, in the end. Because at that point, he has accepted the past as it is and has stopped thinking that everything happens because of him, including global warming.

Seriously, those memory lines are tied to Cloud's history with Sephiroth and his "failures", that's why they are a constant echo in Cloud, Tifa and Sephiroth's dialogue. Note the holy trinity, for you thou shalt see it in KH as well
