Ok let me clear a few things up here.

First of all I really don't see how making a joke about how her post seemed like she was ass kissing ryu can be so offensive I need to be told by two members to grow the fuck up or my post was wrong or whatever. Yeah okay the way I worded it was really offensive but everyone by now (with the exception of kassi) knows this is what i'm like you've all reported my posts before so flipping the fuck out like that really isn't the way to go.

Secondly I was not 'attacking' her. I was not making this personal or anything if any one else had made that post even one of my very good friends I would've said the exact same thing.

Am I rude? Yes. Am I an asshole? Most defiantly. You're going to have to deal with it i'm sorry. Report my posts if I offend you. I know when I deserve an infraction sometimes I even let a mod know when I need one (i'm serious ask aaron). And if I upset you please send me a PM me and I will apologise. This may seem rather surprising to some of you but I don't mean to upset people with my crude humour.

Anyway I will read what you have to say me and take it on board. But I will not be making any replies. I've said what I wanted to say and that's enough for me.

I'm not entirely sure how to respond to this without repeating what you quoted, but I'll try my best.

CK personally attacked and insulted someone who has not only never done anything to him personally, but is one of the nicest members we have. It was completely unprovoked.

Soak responded to someone who was perpetuating that personal attack. I'm not saying I agree with what she wrote, because I believe it was downright insulting and I told her so on the IRC channel. But CK's post was unprovoked and therefore worse.

I can understand how it might seem that after a bunch of us were pissed at CK's flame to Kassi (and Ryu I take it) we laughed at it (by putting that quote in the thread)...but keep in mind that sometimes when people are upset with something they use humor to diffuse their frustrations. If people found such laughter, after being offended, to be messed up, all they had to do was ask. Politely.

If I'm annoying and whiny, it doesn't hurt people. You do, and so did CK's comment. It doesn't matter if it was supposed to be flippant, it wasn't. It was really fucking insulting.

If the comment wasn't aimed at someone openly in support of Ryu, you'd have a different opinion, and that speaks volumes.

Because I thought it was funny? Dakun explained this when he was still around, it's unfortunate that he's not anymore. People CAN find a post that's brash, to be be humorous. Did you guys read his post at all? Basically what he said there is what I feel.

But seriously, I remember in TLS' infancy, MOG made a point to say that we as a forum are far too sensitive. I gave him some shit for that at the time and we got into an argument that we long since put to bed. I think that it's entirely true now, however. I can think of maybe a handful of posts in the entire history of the forum that have been made with the intent to be deliberately cruel and hurtful. I think a lot of TLS needs to take itself a bit less seriously. I know I do and I'm infinitely more chill for it.

And honestly this thing with CK is over and done with. Why are you people insisting on beating the horse to death. It's a symptom of the problem, not the problem itself.

This discussion shouldn't have any bearing on the fact that Kassi deserves an apology. If you don't feel like you should apologise to her, I respect that decision, but don't make it based on what we're saying here. Kassi hasn't said anything in this thread so it shouldn't be changing your mind about whether or not it's the right thing to do.

I'd like an actual, honest, constructive answer to my question. If you say that you're not encouraging people to be assholes to other people on this forum, that the issue lies strictly with the IRC, why are trolling posts encouraged on the forum?

I, for one, do not think the Alienation and divide of the forum can be based on any criteria like 'New V Old' or Age of posters involved. I also think that everyone is to blame in some way, large or small for said alienation. Blaming it on a single group or single method of communication is scapegoating.

Im not really sorry for what I said to her. I do however think I over reacted and I do act on impulse sometimes. If I can go back and change it I would of worded my post diffrently, but me sticking up for Kassi will never change and I don't regret that.

Fair enough, Kassi, despite what your friends have said I am sorry that my post legitimately offended you. I'm still not entirely sure why my post warranted me being called a bluh bluh huge bitch, but if it made you upset that's that. I just wish you would have said so, instead of having your friends speak for you. I would have been fine with working this issue out with you without all the comments of the peanut gallery.

As I said in the other thread, I don't hate you. I don't hate ANYONE here. I disagree and don't get along with some people yeah, but I don't hate them.
