My last playthrough the first time since my original that I used Aerith with concerted effort. There's no denying the fact that she's freaking brutal with magic. Stick her in the back row, load her up with materia, and she can pretty much dominate anything.

WHY CAN'T I REPLACE CLOUD

I try to do all the side-quests when Cid is the leader just so I can have a team without Cloud. When I finally go back to Mideel, the rest of my party is usually around 10 levels higher than him. Which is weird because I don't dislike Cloud.

Well it does make it hard to level everyone equally. Cloud always ends up several levels and limit breaks ahead.

Yeah I can play with the first two CD's, but like somebody else mentioned before ( I think ) it would suck to go all that way, and not be able to fight Sephiroth and go OWA at the end. ):

How do you mean? The version downloaded from PSN is playable on PSP. I think you can download it directly to your PSP.

Certain illegal practices also make it playable on your PSP.

In terms of stats, not using Cloud would be like the two people that didn't use KOS-MOS in Xenosaga. From a game standpoint, there's not a single reason you shouldn't be using them
