Well, here's a little thing I've been meaning to post for a while, and I have nothing else to say, so...

ANIMUS CLASSIFICATIONS:

Spoiler: Feral

- these are the Animus still on the run of Chulainn. Regardless of type (e.g., Lykaon, Sekehmet), all Animus that are not loyal to Chulainn are referred to as being Feral.

Spoiler: Repatriates

- these are any Animus who have rejoined Chulainn since their escape. Some Repatriates consented to returning to Chulainn, others did not. Nonetheless, they are all considered in the same light.

Spoiler: Neuters

- in the aftermath of the Night of the Rage, those Animus who had not turned or escaped were studied. During the studies, the scientists managed to isolate the hormones involved in the transformation and from those samples, cultivate an inhibitor.

When injected into Animus who have already transformed at least once, the inhibitor creates an inevitably lethal bio-feedback. Chulainn’s scientists are still studying the possibility of a non-lethal inhibitor for these Animus.

When injected into Animus who have never transformed (and therefore, have never fully experienced the Hunger), the inhibitor prevents the production of the hormones required to change. These Animus are termed “Neuters”.

However, some Neuters display side-effects, especially those treated in the earliest stages of development.

The most common side-effect is that the inhibitor has also prevented the production of those hormones which cause the body to mature. This has lead to some Neuters being stuck in a child-like body. (Note that they still age, as aging is the result of cell-degradation. Their bodys merely fail to develop further than the stage they had reached before being administered the inhibitor.)

In rare cases, the inhibitor breaks down nearly all hormones created by the body, leaving the Neuter almost completely emotionless.
