Lol, just think... If Laguna and Tifa were together, then Tifa would be Squall's Mama!

Maybe if Tifa was Squall's mother he'd have had some personality.

Heh, I kinda like that one. We should get it in TLS colors.

Tifa and Lightning. Something about meeting Laguna for a threesome, ...and that's about as far as I got. :monster:

*focuses on the bold part* Kindly thank you.

I thought she meant the caption on the side. Making me look like I completely made up what I said :monster:
... wait. :shifty:

:awesome:

Tifa: "And it's like Vaan said, they seem to be growing in number."
Lightning: "Yeah, we'll be in trouble if we get surrounded. Well... I am worried about those two, though."

Out for a quest together? This is glorious! :joy: *iz happy she made the FC*

If anybody's interested, in the screenshot with Laguna talking with Squall, Laguna is saying "Separation inevitably comes; to fear it is just pointless" (別れは絶対に来るんだ、怖がるだけ無駄だぜ).

Rest of the dialogue:

Laguna: "What's this, I think we've just had a shocking glimpse at Lightning's weaker side."
(With Kain and Lightning)

Laguna: "Whether they are there or not, I just want to get back to my own world."
(With Cloud of Darkness)

Laguna: "Leg cramp."

Laguna: "Then use that to deepen the bonds between you."
(With Tifa and Vaan)

Laguna: "Not a clue."
(Magitek tower)

Cloud of Darkness: "I merely wish to see how you will all choose to die."

Also KP apparently isn't an abbreviation of '[Kupo/anything else] Points', but just 'Kupo' or something.

And that image at the bottom of that page (with WoL, OK, and Frioniel looking at that castle/tower) is a place called the 'Sanctuary', which is meant to have some kind of connection to the battle map (Order's Sanctuary) from Dissidia.

Laguna from "Final Fantasy VIII" makes his debut! He's tricky in both
mannerisms and battle!?

The protagonists of the "Final Fantasy" series have been summoned to serve
as agents to gods. Their story will be told in "Dissidia Duodecim Final
Fantasy" (From now on, DDFF). From Laguna's battle style to the mysteries
of the world map, this is one packed article!

Explore the 3D Map!

Onion Knight runs along a rainy coast. You can see a towering structure in
the distance. For more on this RPG-like screenshot, see page 288!

New mechanics absent from the first game?

There is a treasure chest in front of Lightning. The vast world is littered
with tons of gimmicks like this.

Laguna Loire

Appearing in Squall's dreams, Laguna is a key person in FFVIII. Originally
a soldier, he became a reporter, an actor, and even the president of a
nation throughout is unfortunate life. He has a modest, amiable
personality. He is actually Squall's father.

Another, quite different protagonist from VIII appears!!

I'll do the rest tonight. Going out in a bit, but you can count on it being done.

Dude, thank you so much for these translations.

Would you like a frontpage staff account?

Just like there was no way that they could have Gunner Yuna in this game either.

Unfortunate life? Laguna had the most baller life ever. Is traveling the world, being in crazy ass adventures with your best friends, dabbling in every profession from journalist to movie star, eventually being the highest official of the most advanced country on the planet, and fathering a legendary hero, an unfortunate life to Japanese people?

Yeah, but he also left his wife only to have her die while he was gone, losing his son (that he never knew he had) and adopted daughter for years in the process. Maybe not unfortunate, but really not baller.

Besides, when he finally does meet his son, the little guy turns out to be a massive dick, so...

I'd say it still adds up to be pretty baller, even considering. Bad shit happened to him, no doubt, but so does everyone else. It's life, as shitty as it is. You keep on going regardless, and no reason for it to outweigh the good. I don't think Laguna looks back on his life and goes 'man, I had an unfortunate life'.

Just look at the guy.
