My dream trailer:

It's evening, and we hear someone walking up the path to Kalm. We see that it's Zack wearing a hood, and he looks up at the Kalm hotel, where Cloud is looking out the window...their eyes meet, and then it cuts to black.

We see Genesis standing atop a tower, smiling to himself, and then we hear his narration.

'Destiny has changed...the world has changed with it. Don't expect to return to the world from which you came.'

[Nirvana 'Come As You Are' starts playing in the background.]

We see rapid flashes of the Nibelheim flashback, Sephiroth showing up at the mansion basement and grinning, Vincent swooping down from above, Cloud watching Zack talking to Aerith and a jealous rage building in his eyes, Tifa looking worried, Sephiroth whispering in Cloud's ear, and then a shot of the ancient capital, where Cloud and Zack are fighting.

'Cloud...I'm with you 'til the end of the line,' Zack says, and we cut to a logo of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE 2: THE UNKNOWN JOURNEY.

Actually I just realized.

They'll probably announce Crisis Core and/or Dirge of Cerberus for PS Plus+. That'd actually make sense given that was part of the leak from before over the service and would also be memorable and match the timing.

I'm stealing that Force lol

Just realizing how far we've come. It's seven years to the date of the Remake's first reveal.

One year after Nomura said he wanted to show Part 2, and Kitase said we would see Part 2 in 2022. Kitase even said they wanted to get out Part 2 sooner than people think.

We're three years into Part 2's development cycle, when Part 1 only took 2 and a half years to make after the dev team reboot.

This is why I feel unafraid being excited for this. We we're given a week's notice, S-E are hyping this up, and they even are getting community engagement via streaming.

Like, they have to be fucking insane to do all this hype for a mobile game retelling of the Compilation or something TFS related lmao. Not that they aren't good or meaningful, but ffs even FFVIIR is part of the hashtag. This has got to be serious. The flow of the Lifestream is closest to the surface now. It's just waiting to burst :monster:

My prediction:
- Stuff about The First Soldier.
- New trailer for Ever Crisis, and a release date.
- Some new mobile spinoff.
- Maybe a remaster of Crisis Core, or it being added on Steam, or both.
- The first promotional image of Part 2, and the title.

Seriously, Part 2 is coming out in 2024. I doubt they will show a trailer this soon.

God, this is a nostalgia bomb. Hearing the Compilation VAs and the old school renders...

Damn. We've come a long way.

Interesting how much was reused/recreated from this trailer after Cyberconnect was removed from the project.

This build of the game looked good but it's incredible how much the final version blows this one out the water. It's like it broke the limits, you could say. :awesomonster:

They've never hyped a TFS stream this hard. Asking for people to stream their reactions and tune in. "Save the date."

This is actually similar to how they built hype over FFVII-R Part 1, no one bought it though because it'd been 4 years since we heard anything. But this is very similar to what they did then, and how they were hyped for Kingdom Hearts during it's anniversary this year.

I just don't see it being anything else. Ever Crisis isn't gonna go this hard, in terms of advertising either.

It really seems like this will be the FF7 version of what KH just did. Talk more about FS and EC, reveal a new thing, then BAM, FF7 Remake Part 2 trailer.

Normally I would be VERY cynical about this, but...

- Exactly 7 years since announcement of remake.
- Anniversary for FF7 itself, in the anniversary year of FF as a whole, where announcements were promised.
- Absolutely no current info or art or anything really on P2, not even a title...

I think the timing is right for -something-. The question I have is how much they are going to give us...dare we hope for an actual trailer?

And if Kingdom Hearts 4, a title that has far less development than FFVII-R, can get a trailer this year...

Why wouldn't FFVII-R Part 2 show something on it's own anniversary year? Especially on the date matching up 7 years since the announcement of Part 1?

Like, it just wouldn't make any sense NOT to do it.
