Next year he needs to come as McCoy. Then as McGann. Then as Destro, etc.

Pretty brilliant interview with Steven Moffat. (Warning, contains minor hints about things that may happen in later episodes in a Moffaty-type way).

It's amusing that I've never seen the 'pre-cold start' intro. Tells you how I get my episodes, don't it?

Also, Amy Pond's relationship with the Doctor is like the much older big brother type neighbor you idolized when he went away, only for him to come back and you realize that he can never live up to your memories, but he's still a good guy.

Also, I agree, Rory needs to start hitting the Doctor over River/Melody on principle.

TOTALLY tripping out, I've just seen the 6.2 episode titles.

• Let's Kill Hitler
• Night Terrors
• The Girl Who Waited
• The God Complex
• Closing Time
• The Wedding of River Song

Also - Rory confirmed for Season 7. :D

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

No spoilers, but goddamn is this episode great so far

Amy's OTHER childhood friend is Melody Pond. She named her daughter after her childhood friend Melody, who turns out to BE HER DAUGHTER.
Amy thought Rory was Gay until she realized sometime in their teens.

Also, River's apparently only regenerated a couple times. Possibly only twice. Still this ep is fucking awesome, and it's nowhere near done.

I actually didn't like the fact they openly stated she used ALL her future regenerations to bring him back.
I mean come on!
One regeneration provides enough energy to bend the fabric of space and time yet she used multiple to simply kickstart the dr back to life all because she had an hour of his time where she learnt that he loved her.

....On a high note seemingly they have already decided when Smith will be exiting the series!!!!

Seriously I'm going to find out why River is suddenly
a time lord/lady
and Smith's leaving?! SO SOON!? D:

Well, she does kind of already have an established exit to her story. Besides, it's not like you can't get more regenerations. Granted, a bit difficult given Gallifrey's gone missing, but still.

Mumble, She's not a time lady. Not exactly. She's a Tardis-affected human. She has several TL traits as a result of this, thus adding evidence to the idea that TLs became TLs proper due to exposure to the temporal vortex changing their DNA over time.

think we'll ever see Gallifrey or the time lords in general being resurrected? Ya know

Eh no.
I think they almost ruined the series with their last stunt involving Gallifrey and the Master.
The best you can hope to see is if they ever decide to have the Dr Relive his memories of being on Gallifrey.

Also while im here, since we now know that River essentially grew up with Amy, you see a timelord can age normally. Does this mean that the Dr could for all intensive purposes, choose to age naturally like a human?

Or do you think this is purely down to the fact that River is mostly human?

Well I won't mind Gallifrey being around... except that last one was kinda meh, we saw Gallifrey at its worst. Time lords as a species however, MIGHT have a chance. We dont really know who ran and hid like The Master. I say this because I at least wish to see Omega in the new series ; . ;

.....I think it would ruin the entire premise of the universe knowing the Dr as the last timelord if they tried that.
I don't really care all too much about seeing Gallifrey other than finding out more about the Dr circa the war.

If they start writing about more timelords surviving then it kinda nullifies the awesomeness of the Dr and kinda opens up more crap in terms of a very complex plot.

Possibly, but we'd need to wait quite some time, I think, and involve the Dr. intervening directly to try and undo what he did to not come across as stupid, and I'm having a hard time thinking of what might require him to bring Gallifrey back.

Eh no.

To be fair, that shit being terrible was pretty much entirely unrelated to them being Time Lords and the Master and all to do with being absofuckinlutely retarded.

Yes, actually. 8th Dr Movie. McCoy's the Doctor for the 1st 10-20 minutes. He's significantly older. Also the Two Doctors, in which 2 and Jamie are significantly older

Or do you think this is purely down to the fact that River is mostly human?

No, it's a Timey-thing. Remember, she did discuss slowly aging backwards to screw with people after her regen.

Well I won't mind Gallifrey being around... except that last one was kinda meh, we saw Gallifrey at its worst. Time lords as a species however, MIGHT have a chance. We dont really know who ran and hid like The Master. I say this because I at least wish to see Omega in the new series ; . ;

Rani, Romana, Susan, Meddling Monk, etc. Could be more. All unaccounted for Time Lords.

.....I think it would ruin the entire premise of the universe knowing the Dr as the last timelord if they tried that.

The Dr. being the last of his kind is the premise of the latest several seasons. Not the entire series. The premise of the series has been changed before. The Doctor was initially a renegade and a fugitive. Then he was an exile, then he was a national hero, and president, of Gallifrey.
The Time Lords aren't extinct, they're imprisoned. They could be brought back without ruining the series. I wouldn't suggest doing it without the absolute most solid script behind it, but it could be done.

Also, Mumble, Rani'd be easy to bring back. Omega less so. Antimatter, natch. Interesting, sure, just very difficult.

Fantastic episode, and lots of crazy timey wimey stuff.

I like the idea that Amy got to grow up with her daughter, (and the named your daughter after your daughter bit was grand). Because Mels is always getting into so much trouble, Amy's usually being quite motherly towards her, especially in the scene when she's asking Mels why she can't just act like a "normal, legal person."

I really liked the bit with the Doctor managing to hide/disarm all of the guns that River attempts to use against the Doctor. It's one of those moments that lets you know he's just a total badass, and is often acutely aware of his surroundings, even when he's pretending not to be.

As far as River using all of her regenerations to heal the Doctor: it's not entirely clear how much she knows about using them aside from her experience, since she mentioned that she turned into a toddler once. There's probably a good deal that she's not used to, and transferring her regenerations over to him was probably something that's not very easy for her to control. While that helps to finalize yet another reason that she wouldn't survive the indicent at the Library, I think it's also meant to be a proper explanation for the Doctor being able to have >13 regenerations.

I was also REALLY glad to see some more time travellers. I liked the Doctor's quote, "You got time travel, so you decided to go back and punish dead people?!" It's interesting to bring the idea of more people aside from the Doctor travelling through time, especially in lieu of there being other Time Lords.

Then there's the bit about the Silence being an organization, and the oldest question in the universe, hidden in plain sight. I'm pretty sure that's going to close the reference made in the first episode(s) with River Song. It's something that she knows and we still don't know the situation under which it would be revealed to her, but it would have to be before he dies, which is going to be at the end of the season. The oldest question hidden in plain sight being, "Doctor Who?" because we still don't know how she discovers his name.

Also: The Fourth Dimension messages are back.
"When reason slept, When mothers wept, When soldiers crept, The monsters came."

Late Friday Afternoon is the apparent whole of this week's secret message.

So, wagers on Alter-Amy still being around somehow? Stranger shit has happened.

Well when she wanted to come along, she did have an appropriate quote:

“I won’t live with you. I’ll go traveling. Come back for Christmas…maybe Easter.”

All in all, I REALLY liked this episode. It's really intersting seeing Amy finally giving up hope being forced to wait again. The Amy/Rory development was fantastic, but I think that the Doctor's development was also one that's worth looking at. He lies to Rory about being able to save them both, but does Promise to save Amy, and keeps that promise. He makes Rory choose, because whichever Amy gets saved, it has to be Rory's choice and no one else's. Despite that being the right option, I can't help but think that Rory's anger at the Doctor was the most justified of any in the episode when he says, "It's not fair. You're turning me into you."

Moffat's mentioned a few times that the Doctor is starting to feel more and more like he's been involved in their lives for too long, and he needs to back out at some point, because he's doing more harm then good. It'll be interesting to see where things are at by the end of this series. All in all, it feels like there should be enough buildup of the themes (Forknowledge of the future, Amy waiting, etc.) to have a really excellent payoff in the final episode.

Rory is the Meddling Monk. Amy is the Rani.
Pssht. Sure, River's a time lady because she was born in the Tardis. Oh, AND HER PARENTS ARE TIME LORDS!

Some preview clips of The God Complex are out now (Spoilers, Sweetie).

• Some humor...
• Some creepiness...
• Some terror....

• I'm really liking the character interaction, mocking, praising and all confused.
• This scene has singularly made me more terrified than all of Night Terrors did.
• It'll interesting to see the Weeping Angels in a non-Moffat episode.

That was an intense and unexpected turn.

I'm actually afraid for the final episode again.

Good god that was a great episode.

So... What do you think that the Doctor saw in his room?

The only thing I noticed was the TARDIS making it's "something's amiss" noise.
