@Tenny: Yesss Jackie could've easily played a larger role and urgh the scene just had a lot more potential than it ever utilized. I still have trouble with the fact
Rose just stood there while the Doctor zoomed off again, I mean she'd spent the last three(?) years trying to get back to him and when she finally does it's just like lolkbye without any fuss?

AND SHE TOTALLY MISSED OUT ON HER CHANCE TO HAVE A DOCTOR/ROSE/DOCTOR THREESOME I MEAN C'MON.

Also I have this headcanon that at some point the Doctor returns to Pete's World and he does his mindmeld trick with Tentoo and gets to see/experience everything he's missed and TEARS ARE SHED AND YEP IT'S GONNA HAPPEN

Anyways, good to know I'm not the only one who had issues with the whole thing. Thank god for fanfic so I can at least attempt to deal with the all the loose-ends.

Two second response: The Daleks used human puppets in Asylum, because they've done similar things in Classic Who, like in The Dalek Invasion of Earth. ;)

Ah k well even though I still can't say I like the idea at least that justifies it.

OK, Alien Bodies: Eighth Doctor adventure book. It's really hard to start explaining the companion without going into links to wikipedia articles and what have you. And there's so much that never got paid off with some of the other background because Laurence Miles (the author) and BBC Books had a falling out over the Faction.

AKA House Paradox.

AKA
a voodoo cult with Time Lord technology, founded by a Time Lord from House Lungbarrow. The same chapter house that the Doctor comes from. Umm...

There's this thing, called the Relic. It might just be the most powerful weapon in existence. The Faction want their hands on it. So do the Time Lords, who are fighting a war that's already seen Gallifrey destroyed. So do the
members of the Celestial Intervention Agency - the guys who sent the Doctor to kill the Daleks before they were created - who have removed themselves from the time line
. So do the Time Lord's enemies, called only the Enemy. So do
so it's too bad their representatives were killed by a Kroton
.

What is the Relic? Well, it just so happens to be...
the body of a certain renegade Time Lord, at the end of his twelfth regeneration. Who once was the President of Gallifrey.

They called him the Doctor.

I know, right? It's like, ugh...

And I like where you're going with the
Doctor/Rose/Doctor
idea. Sandwiched between two
David Tennants
? I can't even tell you what I'm thinking right now. :awesome:

I dreamt I was the Doctor and I ended up killing everyone by accident.

This is probably why I should never be the Doctor. xD

And while we're on that note: :awesomonster:

- Overall I preferred the tone of RTD's series to Moffat's series - which is not to say I still didn't enjoy Moffat's stuff immensely, but it almost felt like a different show

I feel the same way. There are still things about what Moffat has done that are enjoyable, but I do immensely prefer the show the way it was when RTD was in charge with Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. I kind of feel like that era of the show had a lot more heart and emotional impact.

- I have a lot of favourite episodes but if I absolutely had to pick I think I'd go with The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit because the tone was all wonderfully Event Horizon and there was lots of TenxRose shippiness and foreshadowing that in retrospect makes me weep inside and yeah I just adored those eps

Oh, Event Horizon. It's been years since I've watched that movie. I should go watch it again and compare, because these two rank very high on my list of favorite Doctor Who episodes. I feel like the most poignant scene that stands out for me, however was when The Doctor was
dangling in the darkness down in the pit and having a discussion about faith with Ida
. I thought that was a very powerful scene.

I saw a girl with a picture of the Tardis on her computer desktop. We proceeded to have an awesome discussion on Doctor Who.

I think I made a new friend. :)

Bowie was also a tempting choice, but :monster:

Wow, Tennant is winning that by a landslide :monster:
