Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King’s Horses and all the King’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.

But then came a cry, ‘twas from the King’s Fool:
Opining that bow ties look fashionably cool.
He stepped from a blue box and said with a grin:
‘What a terrible pickle you’ve got yourselves in.’

‘Humpty,’ he said, ‘is far more than it seems.
No egg but a monster beyond your worst dreams.
So I would suggest, you give him a wide berth
He’s a Sontaran Trooper who’s stranded on Earth.’

The Fool waved his wand, and Humpty awoke,
Then the Fool knelt beside him and in hushed tones spoke:
‘I’ve saved you from death, so we must face the facts-
You are now in my debt, and I’ve work for you, Strax…’

haha, that was actually rather cute. :)

And it just reminded me that today I discovered the existence of Doctor Who children's books. <3

J.K. Rowling may be writing a Doctor Who story. Philip Pullman and Anthony Horowitz are amongst the other names of people rumoured to be writing for the planned anthology. Evidently eleven authors total will be included, and each will take on a different incarnation of the Doctor.

Yes I still intend to write that thing about The Snowmen

I just read about that myself. I'm rather excited. I'm currently reading The Casual Vacancy. Not that that's relevant other than J.K. Rowling. :P

But hey, I think The Doctor would be all about Rowling writing a story about him.

David says he has not been contacted about being in the 50th Anniversary????

http://tennantnews.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/david-tennant-records-jonathan-ross-show.html

An audience member told us that David talked about Spies Of Warsaw and a new clip was shown. He also repeated that he has not been asked to take part in the 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who.

Billie Piper also said something similar in another interview a week or two ago.

All this, "They are"/"They aren't" nonsense is driving me crazy. :loopy:

Who is her stylist? I must have this outfit. <3

Should we be calling her Clara or Oswin? I'm hoping for Oswin myself.

Ok, I'm finally trying Doctor Who on Netflix again (the last time I tried watching it the sound was off and it was unbearable to watch). I'm only in Season 3, so I know I'm really far behind, but I just watched Human Nature through Utopia...Human Nature and The Family of Blood, oh man. That two parter blew my mind by the end of the second episode. It just kept getting better. Dark and hopeful and beautiful all at the same time. And I know Utopia is the first of the season ending three parter, and I really want to watch the other two RIGHTNAO but I'm so sleepy :(

Just thought I'd jump in in my enthusiam :P

"Human Nature" and "Family of Blood" are two of my favorites.

It's like, you want John Smith to remain human and be with Joan and yet, you know if he does we'll no longer have The Doctor. Then The Doctor retains all of the memories and feelings that John had, but when he goes back for Joan we learn that she may have loved John but she seems to outright hate The Doctor, and for good reason, too. It was just so bittersweet.

These episodes were a crowning moment for Martha as well. She put up with a lot for the sake of The Doctor.

But most of all, the way The Doctor deals with the family of blood was just so dark and gruesome. I love seeing that side of the character.

Ok, so I just finished that trilogy of "Utopia" episodes at the end of season 3....a few of my thoughts:

The Master turned the Tardis into a Paradox Machine?? What whaaaat? (this was before I knew why he had done so)

I can't remember if I knew this before because there's been a significant time gap between the last time I watched Dr. Who and this time, but when I found out the Doctor chose his name, it kind of blew my mind a bit.

I couldn't believe how much pure evil was inside of the Master, and yet the Doctor was so attached to him, so much wanted to save him, so wanted to fix him (which totally goes along with his chosen name <3<3<3), that it tore his heart apart when the Master chose to die instead of regenerate and have to spend the rest of eternity with the Dr.. So many feelings.

THE FACE OF BOE OH MY GOSH. NO WORDS.

I'm a little tipsy at the moment so that's really all I can get out right now...

I remember hearing this mentioned a while ago. It will be very exciting. :)

I felt so strongly for The Doctor when this happened. He finally found another Time Lord who survived the war, and he turned out to be a crazy psycho. :(

What did you think about Martha's departure? I thought that it made her completely worth it, to be honest. She was so smitten with The Doctor from the get go, and at times it got a little annoying, but the fact that she was the one who chose to walk away made it all perfect.

I, too, was a little annoyed at times. I just wanted to tell her to get over it, especially when she would grump about Rose - freaking A, Martha, the Doctor lost someone he truly cared about, stop making it like it's a terrible thing that you don't "measure up". I thought her departure was good. I saw it coming, to be honest. It had to happen then, you know? I liked her well enough as a companion, but once you've gone through that kind of story arc, what else could there be? She also didn't seem all that well suited to be a long term companion, in my opinion.

Ok, double post, I know, but I just started season 4 -
when season 3 ended and it gave me that teaser about the Doctor running into the Titanic (can I pleeeeease have a gif of the Doctor saying "Wut"??), I honestly thought "oh man, this is the moment that the Doctor finds out that he's responsible for the sinking of the Titanic?!". Then when the episode started in Season 4, I knew something was off, as they were playing Christmas music. Brilliant.

(heads up to look for the specials manually if you're watching Season 4 on Netflix, otherwise the transition to Season 5 will make absolutely NO sense).

haha I had a similar thought. I'm not a huge fan of "Voyage of the Damned," though. That is one thing that Russel T. Davies did that I will say I did not like. It got too cheeseball for me.

But anyway, here you go:

that might be from when Donna appears on the TARDIS, not the Titanic. I'm not sure, though. I'll have to rewatch them.
