Doctor Who!!~

Interesting theory. Don't think I've seen it before. :monster:

The theory that Clara is
River
or that she is
River and The Doctor's daughter
?

I hope people aren't really theorizing that Clara could be
their daughter
because then she would have
kissed her own father.
:/

I also once saw a theory that Clara was
the daughter of Rose and the Metacrisis Doctor
, but if that were the case, wouldn't it be the equivalent of
kissing your own grandfather
? :x

X :neo:

fyi, this is fanmade :monster: Still very well-done though.

In regards to Clara being
the Doctor's daughter - it's not like it's the first time he's kissed people who ended up being related to him (LOOKING AT YOU AMY AKA MOTHER-IN-LAW). I'd rather she be his daughter than River, tbh. Though most of all I'd prefer she's someone entirely new :monster:

Yes, however, I would say that
kissing your future mother-in-law
is a LOT different than
kissing your own daughter
.

I'm going to resist the temptation to watch all of those. I want there to still be some things that are a surprise when the episode airs!!!!

Also, one of my roommates has a subscription to Entertainment Weekly and this came in the mail today:

Seriously can't wait for this to get going next week. A lot of people have been trying to guess who Clara is and the one theory that keeps popping up is that she's the girl from the library. If that is so, they say she won't be here for longer than a year. And yet, she's been signed beyond this series.

I quite like her interactions with the Doctor too, it's about time we had a fresh face instead of seeing Amy and Rory all the time. I did like them, but it felt right to get someone new.

I am looking forward to 7B loads, but, tbh, the 50th special "An Adventure In Time And Space" is really where my attention is at. Long term whovians are applauding David Bailey as Hartnell and the rest of the casting is superb too.

Plus, it adds some weight to the multiple doctor 50th celebration as 2 of the 3 deceased doctors have already been cast.

I would love it if they actually managed to bring in all eleven doctors. I doubt they could make use of them all effectively though, unless they were going to do like a three-hour special or something.

it would feel awfully rushed for a normal length episode. watch the five doctors if you want evidence of this. not even troughton, pertwee and the brigadier can pull that one from the fire.

Almost forgot to comment on this.

The Bells of Saint John Prequel:

That has got to be one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. :3

I kind of called it that
it was Clara as a child
from the get go, though. :P

But even still, that was cute.

I have a good feeling about season seven part duex.

I'd say it needs to be the 30th already, but that would also mean that my sabbatical from work would be almost over, so I'm conflicted :sadpanda:

Oh man, so excited for this. Unfortunately I'm out of town on the 30th so I won't be able to see it until the 2nd ;_;

also extremely disappoint there will be no john barrowman for the 50th :sadpanda:

Stolen from Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Zone on Facebook.

1.The Bells Of St John
2.The Rings Of Akhaten
3.The Cold War (Episode with The Ice Warriors)
4.Hide
5.Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS
6.The Crimson Horror
7.The Nightmare In Silver (Updated title with The Cybermen)
8.The Name Of The Doctor/The Funeral Of River Song (These are still rumoured titles for the final episode)

Only the first two have been officially confirmed that I have seen, but still, excited.

Am I the only one who got shivers reading "The Funeral of River Song?" I mean, previously I had been ready for her to be gone from the show, but it seems rather eerie. My mind was all, "Oh shit, time to go to The Library!" And now I'm kind of excited.

Awesome.

if we see the Doctor knowing that it's the last time that he meets her, when he gives her the screwdriver - which is possible.

That's what I was thinking.
It'll be when he takes her to the Singing Towers.

Theoretically, it doesn't HAVE to be the last time that we ever see River. They meet out of order, so he could always bump into a past version of her.

nooo river, I don't want to see her go ;_; Still, knew the ep was coming eventually, and it makes sense that it would be at the end of this current arc ('Doctor Who?', since she knows his name and shit). I too suspect that it'll take place at the Singing Towers.

I'm interested in knowing how people would go about exiting River from the show.

The way I would handle River leaving the show, and this is just me, is that I would kind of phase her out, but for the sake of story telling there would have to be a definite end for the audience's benefit. Even after the Singing Towers, with the way River's story is set up, it seems plausible that The Doctor could still see her again.

So I would have the Singing Towers happen, but have one or two more appearances, and the Doctor could comment on how he sees her less and less.

And at the end of River's final episode, they could have this exchange:

Doctor: I've been seeing less and less of you, River.
River: But I will see you again, won't I?
Doctor: Don't worry River, you'll be seeing me again, I promise.
River: *smiles* Good. See you later, Sweetie.
*River pops off with the vortex manipulator*
Doctor: *silently to himself* The question is, will I see you?

And cue all the feels because the audience knows that the answer is no.

I think it would be sadder. Not every exit from the show needs to be huge and dramatic.

idk, how would you guys do it?

And on a semi-unrelated topic, I just watched Ark in Space. That was a pretty good one, and kind of funny,
especially when Sarah Jane got stuck in the shaft and The Doctor pissed her off on purpose just to get her moving
lol I think I'm starting to see why so many people like Tom Baker. :)

The Ark in Space is a great one. I agree, that was a great moment.

Kind of agree about River's departure, although a big dramatic exit could be good as well. I don't think it's in the Doctor's nature to tell him that it's the last time from his perspective he'll see her. He'd rather not burden her with the knowledge.
