BASTARD BASTARD BASTARD WHY DIDN'T I DO IT
I literally sat here with my headset and camera on the day it was announced and chickened out thinking "they'll never pick a Scottish person". Not that I would have won, but still I SHOULD HAVE FUCKING TRIED.
Lesson learned, never balls out of anything ever again.

Oh btw I watched that Keep video the other night, the beta goes live for everyone on the 29th 
So question time: which version have you guys pre-ordered? With Bioware games I normally buy the collector's editions (day 1 DLC) but in the UK we only have this "deluxe edition" which includes like an armoured mount and a fancy throne and just random cosmetic stuff, so I'm really not sure it's worth it.
It's literally an extra £20 for the same game in the same box just with some outfits and cosmetic stuff, so for the first time I think I'm gonna go for the regular edition? Which is unusual for me. But they don't seem to have a day 1 extra character DLC (hooray!) so there's no point shelling out the extra money.

I already have pre-ordered the deluxe edition, but now I'm just tempted to downgrade back to the normal edition, which shouldn't be a problem on the day as I've already paid a £10 deposit on it. Pretty sure GAME shouldn't be opposed to it, as it's not like they'll ever run out of regular versions.
Also, nice to see it going public, although I thought it would eventually anyway. Hopefully, it'll be working, eh?

Re: which edition I want to get, I want to get the 'regular' Limited Edition on PC which contains all the Day 1 DLC, soundtrack and features and stuff, but out of every version available in Australia that is the exact version that doesn't fucking exist here for some reason. It's even present on console versions, which is mind boggling.
It's available on Origin for direct purchase but I want a physical version that I can just instantly install without having to spend 18 gigabytes downloading, which would take me the better part of a whole day.
They say they will release the DLC at a later date, but I'll fucking bet they'll charge a premium compared to preordering it.

Yeah, same. It's a very valid reason. Even though I've got GAME points of around £140 from the shares thing, I can't be bothered throwing that amount away either. I've thought about it since I last posted and probably will downgrade when I collect in a few weeks.If they're releasing it later it's the regular edition for me. I'm too unemployed to throw away £20 on cosmetic DLC

I wouldn't mind forking out extra for content, but I'd rather do it in one bundle because chances are them getting me to buy it separately will end up running me a lot more than I'd like.

Woo, new II playthrough to follow up on my maiden run through Awakening and Origins! I also bought Legacy and Mark of the Assassin.
I spent way more time than was really necessary messing around with hexes, .mop files and the PYGFF editor. Blending a base texture with Cassandra's face texture is fun... ish! (also took Aveline's freckles, because I like freckles)
Also, I never noticed before but it seems like DA2 has some minimal hair physics going on with ponytails. Either that or they use a pre-baked animation to deform during movement, which either way was a huge step up from Origins.
