It's everything that a sequel to Dragon Age: Origins should have been, and time will slip by as players enjoy the hundred hours of escapades it delivers...
With very few exceptions, long-standing characters are properly reintroduced...
Oh, and after everything is said and done, make sure to stay following the credits.
Editors' Note: The PlayStation 4 version of Dragon Age: Inquisition currently experiences severe crashing hourly, requiring consoles be unplugged and restarted. EA and Sony have told us this is due to the console's recent 2.0 firmware update. Joystiq has been informed this issue will be corrected in a day one patch. We were provided a console by Sony with an advance copy of the upcoming patch. Following that we experienced only one crash that went immediately to the dashboard. We will update this note on the game's launch day.
I've come to expect that Bioware game = buggy crashing mess, so no surprises there (seriously what is up with their QA department, they need to spend more money there).
an odd choice given that we own a castle in this game
This very greatly bothers me
EDIT:
IT'S TOO GOOD
We should discuss how to deal with spoilers since they'll be happening all over the place now. Tag anything with the quest name or "spoilers up to end of act 1" or something when the game comes out. Considering some of you are getting it 3 days before the rest of us.

The cutscene leading up to the title card give me feelings that I haven't felt since the Spectre Induction from the very first Mass Effect. When the music kicks in and Trevor Morris starts to go apeshit, everything is just perfect. No other opening scene from a BioWare RPG has given me that same specific feeling since, and certainly not any Dragon Age game yet (though Dragon Age II had a really nicely-done intriguing story hook in the form of Varric's narrative).
Spoilers - I promised Lex that I won't post any ending spoilers until I actually get there in the game. I will posting as I go along in the game and everything will be under a spoiler tag.
I just watched the prologue, it looks super cool. I'm so buzzed for next week!
Satsu when does this release in Oz? Do you guys generally get the game on the EU region dates? (was gonna say PAL but that's not really true anymore is it XD).
I find myself shipping Cassandra/ Leliana even though that'll never happen XD.
Totally not watching anything. I'll be in fangirl heaven like Carlie, but trying not to get myself too excited until the day I get my hands on the precious game and slide it into my PS4.

The way Australian releases normally occur is that EU licensing trickles down to here, or if there's an Asia Pacific region we'll usually get serviced from there.
Thus normally we get games after the EU date, but for Inquisition we get ours one day beforehand (2 days after the US), which probably means EA went out of their way to find distributors and ship the games a little earlier here, which is nice.
So as it turns out Jennifer Hale is not voicing a big, spoiler character unless she's doing more than one. She is however voicing the first transsexual in a Bioware game:
Doesn't he!? He's like the male model of the Qun. Ngl kinda made me want to play as the male Qunari, but then I'd have to use the American voice to avoid ruining my headcanon and I want to use the English voice first.
Played about two hours so far. I initially played on pc, and for whatever reason I just was not having fun. The game just felt weird and clunky and I couldn't get into it.
Picked up the Xbox 360 version today in order to do multiplayer with a friend of mine, and the game seems to play a lot better this way. Story and soundtrack are both good thus far.
My city Elf Warden Kallian & Leliana are soul mates!
How dare you suggest Leliana would love another!
I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU.
I mean, something not threatening...
Sorry, but I shipped my elf warden and Leliana pretty hard.
To imply that their love isn't pure, eternal (and in my mind cannon) makes me die a little inside.
*twitch*
Moving on from my meltdown:
All accounts are this game is really good, I'll be getting the PS3 version on Saturday. It makes me really want a PS4 for shiny graphics... oh well.
How are the characters in this game?
One of my favorite parts of Origins was talking to people at camp, I missed that in DA2. Does Inquisition have something similar?
