I've never played the previous entries in this series. Would I be too lost if I jump in at this late stage?

Nothing would beat the experience of playing the previous 2 games, but there is a world-state generator that BioWare has made called Dragon Age Keep that acts as a save-import generator. It allows you to choose between the most significant choices in the series that will have an impact in Inquisition, and there's an Interactive Story Summary feature that will narrate the events for you so you're not too lost on context!

Yes. While the Keep does a good job with these types of games there's just no substitute to actually playing them.

I love Dragon Age, I'm super excited for Inquisition and I've still yet to finish the first game.

You have on PC, there's no excuse for you not having finished it.

I'd start with Origins, as it's (gameplay wise) a better game than DA2.

I would say the better gameplay depends on what you prefer, the more tactical PC oriented Origins or the action oriented DA2. That being said, overall Origins is the better video game.

Also I am playing through Act 2 right now and god I completely forgot how much Isabela's actions piss me the hell right off

In all honesty I thought it had the potential to be a really fun fight. He's got enough variety in his behaviours and it's nice every now and then to face off against a single boss enemy without having to deal with spawning minions to pad out the difficulty. It's a little aggravating to have to deal with him taking health potions at set intervals on Hard because it becomes less of a dramatic DPS race and more of a slog.

Not my fault Steve can't pronounce "cerveza" right. Maybe next time Bioware should actually hire Hispanic VAs for supposedly Hispanic characters. As for the others well Anders sucks, Fenris on his best day is mildly annoying and Kaidan is too boring to dislike. Y Zevran don't count? Y????????

Inquisition still wouldn't be the first because I like Sky from Jade Empire.
