Is it bad that I liked Meredith as a villain more than I liked Logain? Not just in design, but everything. You kept hearing about her like she was the boogey man, then she shows up and you spend the entire time not really knowing what you are suppose to feel about her.
She was obviously off her rocker and completely prejudice, but she was also just as desperate as the mages, only about keeping everything proper and safe. And she had this weird respect for the chantry head despite has power grabs.
Speaking of the chantry head, my sister and I got into a huge fight (lolz, we need to stop nerdin')on whether she was a good person or just as responsible as Anders. Apparently she was ceding power to Meredith and refused to get into the middle of things. I argued that as Chantry head, she tried her best to keep neutral and only wanted to keep the peace, which allowed her to stop fighting but also made it so she wouldn't forced out of power. She said people in power should step into the problems and stop it.
But she's an Anders fangirl so I don't particularly listen to her.
I like Orisno too, until he went all blood mage. It was like, you mother fucker, I followed you at the expense of some of my comrades because I thought you were a good leader, and then you shit on it and then prove her right...
I'M FUCKING HAWKE I WOULD HAVE WON YOU ASSHOLE. AND NOW I HAVE TO KILL YOUR ABOMINATION ASS.
Also, I'm pretty sure Orsino knew the mage that kills Hawke's mother
I think that was the part when I as a player gave up on Kirkwall. Like, I'd rather have the Quanari raze it to the ground and I would never look back. It's one of the reasons why I think Dragon Age 2 is a great game because I've only rarely been so emotionally tired of one place in a videogame. I didn't give a flying fuck about Ferelden past the, "okay, next objective is to save some ungrateful bitches."
