Haww my Dragon Age II gamer score is bigger than yours.

I really like the game, though I did feel sort of cheated by it at times. Read: every time I went into a dungeon and it was the same dungeon map I'd run 15 times before. Oh, and mages are still broken. I really liked the first act, despite going back to the Deep Roads...again. The other two acts were decent, but a little short.

Oh, and the companions in DAII> DA: O imho. The banter each of them have when you're just walking around is hilarious.

And so there's another opinion on the spectrum. I don't know many people who prefer II's companions over Origins' ones. Repetitive environs seem to be a fairly unequivocal complaint though, and for good reason.

BioWare plans to release downloadable content for Dragon Age 2 it hopes will address some of the feedback it received from core fans.

Without revealing exactly what the DLC will contain, BioWare said it has an opportunity to listen to core fans of the first game in the fantasy role-playing series as it moves forward with the franchise.

"We have some new DLC that's upcoming that's going to try and address some of the comments and try and provide the fans with the things they're looking for, both the core fans and the new fans," BioWare boss Ray Muzyka told Eurogamer.

"We're committing to making sure all the products in the franchise going forward are going to appeal to a wide audience, both the core and more."

Last month BioWare used Twitter to call for staff to work on Dragon Age 3. "We haven't formerly announced it," Muzyka said when asked about the tweet. "We obviously have more things planned for Dragon Age in the future."

Reflecting on Dragon Age 2, Muzyka said, "It's been one of the most polarising launches we've had, frankly."

Eurogamer's Dragon Age 2 review cast an 8/10. "An enduring classic?" asked Dan Whitehead. "Not quite. A satisfying epic? Absolutely."

"It actually drew a lot of new players in who really love it," Muzyka continued. "Many people who played Dragon Age: Origins loved it as well.

"But also there were a lot of fans of the original Dragon Age: Origins who weren't as happy with it. Maybe they were looking for more of the same, and it was different and innovative in ways they weren't expecting.

"Commercially, it's been very successful. Critically it's been successful with a lot of new fans, and many of the old fans.

"We take the feedback of all of our fans, our core fans particularly, really seriously. We're committed to trying to address that feedback.

"We think it was innovative. We're proud of the risks the team took. We think it's the right direction for the franchise. We also think there's an opportunity to listen to the core fans who loved Dragon Age: Origins to make sure they're with us on the journey going forward.

"We need to work hard to make sure that happens, that that is the case."

Muzyka's comments echo those from EA Games label boss Frank Gibeau, who told Eurogamer last week that "we lost some fans with Dragon Age 2".

So the new DLC came out yesterday, tbh I think im going to get a little sick of the "just access this DLC by visiting this random momento in your house that seems to pop up without rhyme or reason" Anyway new character seems pretty cool and I like how this DLC changes your entire party also unlike Legacy which kinda let me down a little, being ridiculously easy all the way up to the final boss then for some reason everytime I go against him the game glitches and my party are dead despite them being at full health 2 secs before.

I thought Mark of The Assassin was better than Legacy and definitely harder. Hawke pretending to be stung by a bee was fucking hilarious. Did anyone notice some similarities between Mark of The Assassin and Kasumi's loyalty mission in ME2 Stealing Memory?

From Marethari becoming an abomination to ANDERS DESTROYING THE FUCKING CHANTRY (WHAT THE SHIT IS WRONG WITH HIM), pretty much everything that happened in act 3 had some form of wtffffff to it.

Like going into the haunted mansion and stuff being thrown at me. There was one part where I actually jumped a little at a loud noise xD

I ended up siding with the mages, as I'd done all game (I played a mostly humorous "paragon" mHawke [rogue archer, crit damage out the ass]), and kept that dumbfuck Anders so he could at least try and help us put an end to the madness that HE HIMSELF WAS PARTIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR. I sat there at the screen where you gotta choose what to do with him for so long - seriously the most difficult choice I've ever made in a game. Especially since Sebastian is like IMMA BRING BACK AND ARMY AND RAZE KIRKWALL TO THE GROUND YOU BASTARD (plus Anders was my mage for literally the entire game because he's the only one that gets a revival spell; I then was so disgusted with him that I swapped him out for Merrill LOL). Also, the music during that part was ESPECIALLY good.

But then there's stuff like Orsino becoming a harvester, turning to blood magic despite arguing the entire game that not all mages are like that. Way to make me look like a dumbass, dude =/

And then Meredith. Wtf. How did she even get the idol, let alone have someone turn it into Soul Edge?

Seriously, just wow.

Such a good game.

Great ending.

now to make a female mage that is a total bitch and sides with the templars HAHAHAHAHA

Still need to do both of the DLC bits, though...

I have to mention that my first Hawke as a character really ran away from my control and from the direction I was intending to take her. Initially I ended up pairing her with Fenris with some love-hate relationship, but as I progressed more and more into the game they started to have some ridiculous falling out with each other over the templars vs. mages thing the entire game advertises, while Isabela the pirate whore starts to grow on her. Come the final act

my Hawke's gone off and started some relationship with Isabela after she comes back with the Qunari tome, and is forced to kill Fenris before the final boss battle. He falls like a glass cannon, of course.

So yeah I liked how the character I made somehow went through this drama character development alongside the gameplay decisions I made, even though it sort of ended up the complete opposite of how I wanted to take it. Score one for cool personal stories by Bioware.

DUDE TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU SAY TO SOMEONE ESPECIALLY AFTER THEY'VE SAID THEY'RE HEART BROKEN ABOUT IT.

Aaaa I'm trying to finish this game but I'm taking my sweet ass time. xD I really tried rival!romancing Fenris but it ended up being Merrill in the end because she's too cute, adorable, and sweet to break her heart or be mean to. ;3; I love both she and Fenris as characters (even thought Fenris is a GIANT douchebag I really do enjoy his character and dialogue xD), Varric really started to grow on me too. I think next time I will use him more in the party (in place of Isabella), or change him with Anders. Just because I haven't used Anders the entire game except for the very beginning and missed on all of his dialogue stuff. I hear he's rather obnoxious and I want to know why. I already think he is by the scenes I have seen him in.

Also using potions to heal
all the time
has gotten pretty tedious OTL. I have died a lot.

Aveline is the only one of your companions besides your LI that talks to you about your mother's death regardless of the status of your relationship.

It's better to go with rivalry with Merrill IMO, that way she grows a backbone and you really see some character development.

Obnoxious is not even the word that begins to describe Anders. He's a jerkass, hypocritical, whiner and since you're romancing Merrill you'll get to see one of his finest acts of hypocrisy in his personal quest in Act 3

Sami: Yes I would suggest starting over since your level is kind of low. Regarding Isabela

If you have 75% friendship or rivarly she'll come back or if she's your LI, it's fairly easy to get her friendship up.

It's one of the companion quests (I do them all just because I really want to complete everything XD) you have an option to say you are heartbroken, sarcastically say you're okay, or get totally pissed off and tell her to go away. I chose that I was heartbroken ;w;

Isabela left you? OAO What do you have to do to make that happen, I know it has happened to others but I still have her in my main party. Same here Sami, I really like Fenris~ I especially love his interactions with Merrill, lmao. I like how she handles his shit. (almost shipping it PFFFFT)

Yeah I might use him next time around just to have a healer so I might replace Isabela with Anders next run. xD
