I was working through scanning all the FFV stuff, and I have a couple scans I was curious about. There's a page talking about unused prototype characters for FFII that features a moogle (which didn't appear until FFIII!), and I was curious what it said about the moogle (who's name is apparently Cry On? Crayon?). There also appears to be a werewolf (Lone Wolf prototype?), masked man, and a caveman (prototype of the caveman from Secret of Mana?) and I'm kinda curious what's going on with them.

Also, I have an image of early sketches of the various jobs of FFIII, with a few unsued ones like Mage Knight, White Sage, Black Sage, and what apparently is... a Peeing Man job class? The blurb talks about it, but it would take me a long time to translate it all. I can do single sentences fine, but entire paragraphs or pages can take me an entire day to translate.

The 'manneken pis' thing was an idea for when the characters were petrified, they would turn into that form.
The prototype races are:
Cryon - Like a large two-legged bat covered in white fur. Found in cold places with lots of ice. A nomadic race who work in groups called milds/meluds.
Once every three years they go to the edge of the frozen lands to trade, marry, and fish. This land is sacred to them.
Lyubine - sometimes trade with humans, hate the werewolfs. Lots of silver weapons. Each elder has a tribe. They are travelling farmers so build wooden huts where they settle. There is a bonfire used for meetings in the centre with huts surrounding it.
Cinidician - live underground the lost city in the desert. They have hair white as bone, and wear colourful masks fashioned like birds and animals. Have the infra-vision ability. They have forgotten the existence of the outside world.
Shalgag - have brown hair and beards. Something to do with a curse somewhere in a forest when it declines/is deserted and the land becoming barren for 7 years? They travel from tree to tree.
Cryon sprite was edited to make the Giant Beaver, and the Cinidician sprite was used for the aboriginal people of the southern islands.
Names all stuff I just made up looking at them while tired and about to sleep, also some bits were fuzzy to read and I can be bother straining much now. Also, interesting that the proto-moogles share a name with one of Sakaguchi's Mistwalker games that was cancelled.
