I like Genesis, I think he's an okay antagonist. Cool design, cool sword, all that jazz.
But he's just a little underwhelming when compared to Sephiroth, ya know? That fight was a little lame, if I'm being perfectly honest.
Out of all the new characters, I like Angeal the most. I'm genuinely interested in seeing where he's going as a character.
Besides that, I'm looking forward to more Zack / Aerith, Zack / Cloud interactions, as well as the inevitable end.

Well I mean... the Genesis naturally pales in comparison to the Dreamcast. 
I did enjoy his boss theme though. "A Beating Black Wing" was a banger boss track.
And yes. Angeal is a great guy. Keep going to see where his dreams and honor go.

Oh yes. I wish they'd created more, to be honest. Also, I remember reading a piece of an interview circulating in the community that they'd initially planned more scenes with Zack and Cloud, but had to scrap them due to technical limitations.

Genesis was injected with Gillian's cells, who'd already been injected with Jenova cells. Genesis was a failure, but as Gillian is Angeal's mother, he basically got the Sephiroth treatment.

I don't remember the exact differences, but I am pretty sure they all had their own specific procedure, I think Sephiroth was injected directly while a fetus, while Angeal was just the child of someone injected while pregnant?
Not sure anymore, but I am sure they are all different.

Agreed, I never cared for Aerith in the OG to be honest, but Crisis Core really made me care for her and Zack, that shit is SO freaking tragic. When you know that a person is actually going through internal struggles it helps a lot in making them more interesting. I always felt that for Tifa, but Aeriths character always felt too shallow to me before CC.
