Sorry if this disappoints, but I don't think I'm really enjoying doing these live-reaction things anymore. I'll update with opinions when major things happen, but it'll most likely be after the fact. I've just started chapter 10. Here are a few thoughts:

Combat is fun as hell. Every character is really enjoyable, and I'm actively trying to find all of their weapons and master their skills.

WALL MARKET. My god, that was just a delight. Seeing Palmer chasing a honeybee was hilarious.

Man, they got Mark Hamill? What a great casting choice!

A FF7 compilation game that hasn't butchered the materia system? That's a plus.

You fight summons, sick.

Jessie has won me over so incredibly hard. And she's gonna die, and I'm not looking forward to it.

They really hit us with the City of the Ancients already, huh? Game is fucking with my emotions.

The music in sector 5 was absolutely gorgeous.

The airbuster fight was nuts. Makes you have to get good really quick, lol.

Barret sings the victory tune and Cloud spins his sword when you win in the colosseum, sick.

The hell house moved up to boss status, huh? Proud to say I beat that on my first try.

Johnny isn't as terrible as I thought he'd be.

The jukebox is making me very happy, even if I don't know what to think about the new version of Barret's theme.

Chapter 12 was some god-tier shit.

The battles, the deaths, the cinematics, Rude wanting to not shoot Tifa, Aerith saving Marlene, Cait Sith having a cameo. Favourite part of the game so far. I didn't even care for Biggs that much, but that little scene between him and Cloud was really well crafted.

Jessie too. I uh, whew. That was some strong shit.

I already know that this is EASILY my favourite piece of FF7 media outside of the original. It isn't even remotely close.

Lol budget Yuffie. I am still amused
that she is the only one Rufus ever expresses any indication of attraction to in the entire compilation.

The part with the sun lamps has easily been the most tedious thing in the game so far, but besides that, I don't really have any complaints

I have a weird relationship with that level. On one hand, the gameplay was tedious af, but the visuals, and music, were amazing.

For me I think the issue there isn't the individual areas but that there are 4 areas linked together making the story flow feel drawn out on a single path for too long.
