Wait, Sephiroth said that Jenova died after she gave birth to him.

Does mako have resurrective qualities? Or are they just experimenting on her dead body?

If they're experimenting on Jenova's dead body then why didn't they do the same for Aerith's biological mother? I can't see that being the answer.

Sephiroth, unless I remember incorrectly, stated that he was either a Cetra or a descendant of the Cetra. So... fuck man. My head hurts.

So he didn't actually know. Jenova, Jenova project. He essentially put the pieces together and is seemingly upset/pissed that the scientist that died and whom he apparently kinda liked never told him.

A second playthrough is excellent for more than just trying to 100% it, you’ll be able to see the mystery, knowing how the whole thing plays out is really fun.
