Regardless, I thought it was the other way around, that Jenova needed her cells to be whole again. Isn't that the point of the reunion?

I think the children part refers to the three remnants, as for why children are seemingly more likely to get it, I'm honestly not sure, there is probably some reason though.

Not really, no. The persona Cloud's mind and Jenova cells conjured up for himself upon finding Tifa in Midgar required papering over Zack's existence.

It's a twisted recollection, a memory of Sephiroth that suddenly flared up in his mind as his arm and eyes acted up.

But still, I just wondered as Cloud said that he'd promised that he'd never forget. But since he did, maybe it was Sephiroth's doing? I just used the quote as it emphasises the control Sephiroth had/has over Cloud
