Since the battle mode of Ever Crisis appears to be using the FFVII Remake models as their basis (similar to how Mobius was using some early Remake assets IIRC?) does that mean the Remake team is going to be making new models for every single significant character that's ever appeared in the Compilation?

Honestly, you're right. They're trying VERY hard to make sure everyone knows the story as it was. That's a big indicator that things are gonna be, as mentioned, bananas.

Or, the series is going to continue to reference said series and they don't want it to go over everyone's heads.

I mean, I don't see the Remake going anymore bananas than what we saw and were expecting already. Ever Crisis basically allows the Compilation to no longer be FFVII fandom apocrypha requiring special software, emulation and/or old ass hardware to decipher and enjoy. It's accessibility and convenience.

So when the Before Crisis Turks are shown hanging out at the Gold Saucer, nobody's gonna go, "Who the fuck are they?!"
