Same. I was coming hot off of playing a PS2 game so it was hi-def enough for me lol. I was like “the doors are scrap metal slabs, makes sense...” I kind of felt like the graphics in Ch. 3 lacked a bit of overall polish but I wasn’t too phased. I thought the panic about the door was kind of half-sincere, a scapegoat for the general complaints about the mildly blurry chocobo sign in Chapter 2 or the far more egregious skybox in Chapter 15. “FIX THE DAMN DOOR!” was a funnier thing to say, I thought, but huh, wow, oh shit, the door is supposed to be wood.

On the other hand, I'm surprised by people who thought it'd be metallic doors; I've always thought they'd be in wood! It was even brownish, so it was no mystery to me haha.

Quick observations.
Chapter 2's completion trophy being called "Out of Darkness's Clutches" makes me think Nero's role in Chapter 2 is quite significant.
"The Road to Revenge" is an interesting title for beating Intermission on Hard. It makes me think Yuffie might leave this chapter with an even deeper conviction to crush Shinra. I wonder why...
There's always at least 1 trophy that's an unexpected wild card. "Ultimate Weapon 2.0" reveals we're fighting another prototype of the Proud Clad. Scarlet's been a busy bitch
"Corrupter of the Immaculate" isn't that surprising since we knew Weiss was our much-hyped FFVII-R Intergrade super boss. Will he stand with the likes of Ruby Weapon, Omega Weapon, Ozma, the Dark Aeons, Gilgamesh or Ereshkigal?
I guess we'll find out very soon.

During the final Intergrade trailer, Weiss's super move does around 6,300 damage to each party member. The entire party also has Barrier and Manaward active. Without Barrier, Weiss's super move will do over 12,000 damage, more than enough to wipe a whole party with max HP. Battle tip #1: Equip Barrier+Magnify.
Cloud's base HP at level 50 is around 5,000. Aerith and Tifa's base HP is even lower. Without any HP Plus materia, these characters will get one-shotted by Weiss's super move even with Barrier active. Barret might survive. Battle tip #2: Equip multiple HP Plus materia.
I investigated the party's HP values from the trailer and can confirm that each character has a +100% HP boost, equivalent to 2 mastered HP Plus materia. Just letting you know if you want to start preparing! This battle sounds absolutely brutal.

Giga Graviton was 100% storyline instant death; nothing in gameplay mechanics prevents the scripted attack giving a Game Over.
Weiss is simply a superboss who's stats cleave through multiple levels of defense, but you can survive. Like how Ruby Weapon's tentacles cleave off 6k or more from a character regardless of their defense or Wall status.
I don't think Weiss's battle is scripted. He's just an extremely powerful enemy.
