Also, is there some catch to screencapping on the Vita now? I could do it using the PS + Start buttons, but I tried with FFIX and it wouldn't let me. Also wouldn't let me on Resident Evil 1, which I could before (there is an option by using the system/Home button menu which FFIX lacks). Right now, after testing the four games I have on my system (Resident Evil 1, FFIX, Saga Frontier, Linda3 Again) only RE1 worked and only in the menu. Which is annoying, I was hoping to take proper screenshots.

Sorry Hito I just noticed this post.

I've only really been able to test it on my Vita with the Crash Bandicoot games and the Resident Evil games - it worked on all of those. I'm thinking there might be some sort of restriction on some games though I'm not sure why :(.

Each week I'll post an image like the one above to show where to save at the end of the chapter and questions to get a discussion going. I'm stealing Flintlock's structure but it worked well, so why deviate?

Everyone is encouraged to submit questions of their own that'll be added to this post, and answer them when the Chapter is complete. So with that said; here are a few of mine:

  • What did you think of the opening? How would you rate it against other FF openings?
  • There are a tonne of minigames in IX. Did you try skipping? Did you start Mognet or meet Stilzkin? How did you find the sparring minigame? Did you impress Queen Brahne?
  • What do you think of the controls/exploration compared to other FF titles? What about the battle system?
  • Are you enjoying the story? What do you think of it so far?

A link will be added to each chapter heading in the opening post when a new chapter post is made so that no one needs to scroll back through posts to find the questions for their responses.

Okay. I'm doing this.

To be honest, I got to the third or fourth disk of the copy I had before I got my PS3.... But... I never finished it.

IX has never been a favorite, but I love the music in some areas. Also, the story is not bad, and by far.

OK Arianna, I've added you to "participants".

It's time to cement a time to Skype and Play over this coming weekend/ week, in part because I have plans on Saturday that I'll cancel if we're Skyping on that day. (Note I didn't say "have to" cancel, because I don't particularly want to go but said plans beat sitting in the house doing nothing).

So anyway yes, in a choice between 7pm UK time Friday, Saturday or Sunday, majority wins. Please cast your vote.

So far I know me, Fangu and Flint are available on all three days. I'm going to list everyone who is participating here and their status next to it :monster:

For Flint and me the best time for skyping would be on Friday, because we also have some plans for Saturday, and we have to wake up early on Monday, which means that we would only have maybe an hour to play on Sunday night. Though if everyone else insists on having the skyping on Saturday, it is doable, but it would be nice not having to hurry. :)

I should point out that I didn't know the exact nature of our plans when I said any day was good for me :lol: I think Sunday would be alright though. If we start at 19 UK time, that's 21 our time, and we probably won't go to bed until 23 at the earliest.

Doing it around 19 UK time on Friday would be difficult for some of us 'muricans, as I assume some of us will be working.

So Saturday is looking like a good day for most people. My Saturday plans have been cancelled now for an entirely different reason. I would rather do Friday or Saturday, Sprites can only do Saturday and the murcans will probably not be able to do Friday. I'll wait to get more responses for the time being.

Avec: does that mean you're working on Friday? Bear in mind we could probably start later on Friday night if more people are home by that time, it's usually a late one for most of us Europeans anyway.

I'm working til 6PM eastern time on Friday, and won't be home til close to 7, I imagine. Saturday is free, however.

I can't on Friday at least not that early, I'll be home after 5pm EST. I'm free on Saturday all day though.

It only takes a short time to make an account, and as I've said you don't have to join in with the talking you can type chat and listen if you want to. But if you don't it's all good :)

Oh oh I just started playing FFIX on my Android phone two days ago. I've only played about fifteen minutes of it so far, so I'm hardly ahead. Please count me in :)

Yeah Force, it worked fine. I assume it will again as long as Carlie's finally turned off her Christmas tree XD.

Seriously though, it was cool to discuss certain aspects of the game. Some people watched my stream while playing their own playthrough which generated a bit of discussion too :monster:

I'm looking forward to doing a Skype and play. To be safe also note your voices WON'T be broadcasted over my stream, I use skype on my tablet so the stream will just be game music.
