Just hit me why Versus is taking so long, it's probably gonna reveal this twist that all the FNC games take place in the same world in different time periods over its history. It's perfectly possible if you think about it, Type-0 could take place in the past, then Versus, then FF13 and 13-2, judging by their relative technological atmospheres.

Could be possible. After all, there were those ancient ruined cities in Pulse. One of those could easily be the remains of Noctis's city.

It's not the same saying "We will do this" and then they do something else, as it is saying "We won't do that" and then ending up doing it.

Yes but what they said sounds lame. I'd prefer it the other way Besides, I wasn't suggesting that they're actually going to change what they said. I just said that I wish they were in the same world. Maybe see the events that led to the creation of Cocoon, and see how different they were from the 'myth' presented in XIII.

That would be cool. I kind of liked the idea of them being more connected in some way. But then I guess they would be considered sequels/prequels and maybe they didn't want that. or some crap.

No thanks. FFXIII is possibly the worst FF in existence. Versus needs not fail before it even gets off the ground.

Dengeki PlayStation has the latest on FINAL FANTASY Versus XIII… well, sort of.

Speaking in an interview, Tetsuya Nomura briefly commented on the status of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series. With FINAL FANTASY Type-0 out of the way, Nomura says that it’s Versus XIII’s turn. Of course. he’s a little excited!

I'm hoping it winds up playing a bit like a real time FFVII would if the Turks were in focus, to be honest. I want a gritty Midgar type atmosphere and a lot of colourful locales that eerily reflect our experience travelling in that game.

He then tries to rush out and escape from the bathroom before he's done and looks around, it all seems like he got out for free, then Noctis is right behind him.

Maybe Noctis kills his borther-in-law or friend's bro in law after standing as godfather to their child while his party members kill the bosses of the games in separate areas while he's idly standing by renouncing whatever evil fal'Cie they believe in.

They have such a weak and flimsy tie to the human condition that they're uninteresting as hell measured against fun characters.
