If it's in the game, it's not down to Square itself but rather, the translators. Sometimes it saddens me that I play the Spanish versions .

Mine is set to English and all the games I've bought here have been in English ever since.

Thanks to Captain Highwind in the Trivial thread who pointed out that SE made a Tweet about upcoming news. More newsception if you will.

I think the account's most recent tweet is interesting. One of their fans said "Do realize that just by saying 'soon', you've made the day of thousands if not millions of FFX fans!! Love you!! " [sic], to which they replied "don't get too excited. No announcements on the horizon, but we know news is important to you."

So the upcoming news is not going to be an announcement? Perhaps they'll just say "we're still working on it". In another tweet they said they "can't say" how soon "soon" is, so it might not even be that soon at all. It's a suggestion of a hint of a possibility of upcoming news. In other words, more Square Enix nonsense.

Well; for example the Mass Effect Twitter is run by bots, so it wouldn't be a stretch to assume this one is too. Some people do work on them behind the scenes and occasionally manually answer questions, but sometimes the most random responses pop up.

I get the impression they might be fucking with animations and stuff too, since a lot of them look so awkward. I also wouldn't be surprised if they re-did the character models and textures.

Also I hope to god they get rid of that font.

Aren't the FMV's rendered in a 4:3 aspect ratio? They might be adding to those too. Time will tell.

Developers, maybe, but with every game you need a small army of testers, managers, marketing people, etc etc etc.

Some games dont translate all that well to this generation actually.
In the making of Odd World : Strangers Wrath HD the makers actually talk about the difficulty of porting certain last gen games to this gen, and in some cases (like in the case of Oddworld) they practically had to start from scratch.

Stilll, I feel like it's not worth it to make people wait for 1 or 2 years when the payoff is practically getting the same game with slightly better textures. Of course, SE announces first and thinks later.

I don't know, I think if you'd expect any of that you're in for a disappointment. I mean KH HD had a few improvements and they switched the old models for the newer ones from KH3D but I dunno.
And I'd bet the FMVs are just gonna get cropped or something. >.<

IMO, news like these are not for fans. They are for investors. Stock exchange. Sending a public message, "We have projects coming up, we are not going bankrupt, you don't have to worry about your investments."
