I was just looking at this on Amazon and I don't know whether to get it for PS3 or Vita. I can take my Vita with me anywhere...but I prefer playing on a console...

I don't know. :(

It is approximately: 14 Days, 336 Hours, 20,160 Minutes and 1,209,600 Seconds until we can get our hands on this game. I'm not counting or anything!!!

Thought the reviewer had some sense until I saw them complaining about the Laughing Scene sounding as bad as it ever did, completely missing the goddamn point of the scene. Now I want my three minutes back.

I wanted to cancel my order for delivery and have it to pick up in my local GAME store alongside inFamous, but GAME apparently don't have the pre-order codes yet. And this was last week. Like Jesus, the game's out in less than 10 days and you don't have BLOODY PRE-ORDER CODES!?

The only time I've ever pre-ordered and collected in-store was with Lightning Returns and that's purely because it was coming out a day early in that particular store. If I can avoid it, I'll never go to GAME again. The people who work there are Grade A cunts who are also completely socially inept.

I've had a bad experience with GAME employees almost every single time I've been in, and honestly I think they judge me by appearance and assume I know nothing about gaming because I try to avoid looking like I live in a basement. Very very very often they look at me like "what are you doing in here".

At first I told myself I was just being paranoid, and after a few conversations with you (Ami) and Marcus banging on about how good they are I've given it a go a few times since then, and I still get the same treatment. They're just rude as fuck. I'm not into that elitist crap, I'm a customer and I should be treated as such. Even if I knew fuck all about gaming sly looks to the other dude behind the till like "who is this moron" is fucking unacceptable.

For example, I went in to pre-order Lightning Returns and asked if I'd be able to buy the guide early too and dude just looked at me like I was an idiot then said "uh, no" and he was so scathing about it. Then I went back in to collect the game on Thursday and the SAME GUY said "do you want the guide aswell?". Fair enough he may not have recognised me/ they may just have been told about the stock on the day of but this obviously pissed me off.

Add to that I had to queue to get it when I specifically asked if I should come early to avoid queues to which he replied "I doubt there'll be a queue", and when he was actually processing the transaction and I handed him my pre-order receipt he looked at it, burst out laughing, turned to his co-worker, said "LOL, Final Fantasy" then literally slammed the game down on the counter.

I hate that company. I've had one good conversation with an employee and it was a girl working in a store in the shopping centre near me. And it was about 7 years ago when I went in to buy a PSP. Fuck Game, they're shit.

This is disregarding the fact that Amazon is £10 cheaper than that place every single time for every game ever released, and it arrives a day early and often comes with exclusive pre-order stuff. For example, the limited edition of this game was only £25 originally when I pre-ordered it so that's the price I'm getting it for.

Sorry for the rant, elitist people bug me. I would never and have never behaved like that when working in customer service.

See I went into my store and picked up the Xbox One and had a great crack on with the assistant helping me, just talking about the console and the games coming out. Then when I picked up Ryse: Son of Rome I had another talk about the game and the achievements as the person had just gotten 1000 GS on it. There are a majority of people that work their that you can tell no fuck all about games.

The people at your store just sound like arseholes. Everyone tells me to go to Amazon or Shopto.net which are meant to be really good for deliveries. But whenever I want to pre-order I automatically head to GAME.

I could say I have the same experience as you in Grainger Games, they just don't give a shit and can be rather rude at times.

I like when they know about the games and can share their tastes with you, or just talk about games.

When I was at university, the guys working in the local Game were cool, like older brothers you could go in and chat about stuff. Now the management just want minimum wagers that are just there to sell.

The thing is it's not just the one store, it's all of them. There are 4 in the city centre that I've been to, one in a shopping centre, one in another shopping centre, and one in yet another shopping centre. (Silverburn, Braehead and Glasgow Fort, respectively). They're genuinely all full of utter pricks. That's 7 stores full of pricks. Pricks everywhere I tell you. (Aside from that one girl from the Braehead store I spoke to years ago, doubt she works there anymore).

We have an import store in the city centre too, they specialise in the rare import stuff like special game-edition consoles (such as the crisis core edition psp, japanese only stuff, wall scrolls, play arts kai) and they're slightly less dicky. But only slightly.

I dunno I guess I find it kind of disheartening? Maybe I'm reading too much into it or overanalysing but I think, if I as a gamer am having that experience, what about people who're testing the waters? People who aren't sure whether or not they want to be "a gamer" if there is such a thing might go into these stores and be completely put off by these douchebaggy people and that upsets me.

There's also like a LAN-party place that sells retro/rare games I forgot about, I don't know if its there anymore. I went in there once out of curiosity and found FFVII for PC (the incredibly rare boxed edition). The dude didn't have a price on it so I ended up talking to him about it and he gave me it for like £20, so that was one good experience at least.

Anyway sorry for turning the X/X-2 thread into "Lex rants about game stores" it just bugs me XD

Just because the scene had a purpose doesn't make it not obnoxious and unbearable.

^It is super frustrating to see people moan about that laughing scene, because the majority of people who do don't actually understand that it's intentionally awkward and think its some weird Japanese quirkiness when its actually quite an important bit of dialogue.

They laugh normally afterwards. A lot of people look at that scene and go "OMG WHAT IS THIS LAUGH OMG OMG" because, in short, they're idiots.
