It does become a game mechanic of its own. There are many ways to utilise the queuing - like casting Curaja while your other two party members are Berserked and uses Attack like mad. You'll get a lot more hits in that way.Didn't know about that limit thing, pretty interesting. I would've thought they'd keep something like that in place, since it's effectively a gameplay mechanic (or limit) in the original game - one that forces people to rethink their strategies instead of just spamming the highest level thing.
In IZJS they aren't hidden, so fairly sure that will be the deal for the remaster.I suppose it would be too much to ask for that the various license boards not be freaking hidden so you can actually plan?
I don't think I ever used Curaja anyway XD
I seem to recall Reflect being fairly prevalent in some of the later battles, and timing Curaja queues with Reverse cooldowns is a nightmare. I usually just used Curaga.
Also asdfhsdf so amazing to see an XII thread being the most active thread on the forums.
Reflect (or Ruby Rings) + Firaga + Flame Staves + Oil = OP late game.
Reflect in general is OP.

I haven't the slightly clue what you are talking about. >.<
The battle system in FXII was the gambit thing right?
I haven't played this game since the before time, in the long long ago.
Nah, you're doing it wrong.I don't think I ever used Curaja anyway XD

I use Curaja it all the damn time, I have no shame in it.
In some of the boss/esper/hunt fights I've been in lately I almost almost use Curaja or Cura purely because by that point I'm sick to death of spamming items, even if the effects are immediate. It severely breaks up my momentum, especially if I've gotten them to HP Critical and I have to take a timeout just to have individual characters heal themselves. I just want my other characters to keep on whaling on the enemy while my mage/backup whoever is spamming spells out the wazoo. I don't care about using MP, because I get it back from damaging and killing the enemy, and walking around.
Anyway, I hope like FUCK they give us more than ONE fracking Water spell this time around! That's probably the only thing that's always pissed me. Just Water. No Watera, no Waterga, just fucking Water. FUUUUUUUUU--
EDIT:

I feel the same way.
I know you're the resident XII nut, but I like to think I come in a close second.

The proper way to FFXII is to have your gambits set up to where you don't have to micromanage anything, and you can work on your thesis while kicking Yiazmat's ass in the background
Believe it or not, micromanaging is actually the fastest and most hardcore way to go through the game. See evidence EmanonNah, you're doing it wrong.

Gambits for me means setting everything to "Attack" since that's what works best for most mobs. Attack (and Greatswords) is boring.
"Gambits only" underlevelled is a neato challenge though
I asked Smith about a year ago about working of FF7 remake, and he said it would be fun. He lives in Japan at the moment.
We should try to get the XII novella translated. I was hoping we'd get to work on it once the Turks novel was done, but it's been kind of on hold.
Oh, and also
