Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

Purist
No PS Vita version means that I'm going to take a pass on this.
In general, I really can't be bothered to play games being tied for prolonged hours to either my computer or my TV - especially games as time-consuming as 40+ hour games.
The ability to play whenever and wherever, and should things interfere, just press the PS button and put the game on stand-by until things clear up, is the only reason I bothered playing through FFX (generally I play all my old JRPGs on my phone using save-states) again on my Vita.
Not being able to do this for a game as slow, and massive as FFXII just kills it for me. Yeah sure, optimizing the game for PS4 will mean higher fidelity graphics - but I never cared about that to begin with. For the most part, I prefer the graphical fidelity of the PS2 era to the PS4 era in either case, and FFXII's aesthetics stand on their own regardless of era too - so I'd take a FFXII with no graphical update what so ever running on my Vita over a up-scaled version that only runs on PS4 any day of the week.

i was thinking maybe the changes to the character growth system would include an option to use the original license board in addition to the zjs, like how ffx international let you use either the original sphere grid or the updated one

there were a couple of scenes that were voiced in the english version that were just text in the japanese one, so i am curious to see if they will be getting the jpn actors back for some dialogue (i think bal's va is in the ffxv film so he they would already have him around)
or was that dialogue already recorded and just unused in the original japanese version
but if they are going to record new dialogue what will they do about vaan, whose actor they changed with dissidia duodecim. it'd be weird to have old vaan mixed in with new, or even old vaan's famously rough performance (oiyoiyo!!) with a probably-improved modern performance by old vaan

Never thought Square would actually remaster FFXII. Next year will be ten years since the Zodiac International was released(back in 2007) after the original version's release.

People always remember Nolan North in the role of Vossler, but I think he himself forgets it most of the time. I remember watching a video awhile back where someone is running him through all the characters he's played in video games, and when the woman said 'Final Fantasy XII' he just shrugs and looks at the camera.
But it's great voice acting all around though. I wish Nicole Fantl (Fran) had a social media account to get into touch with, but looking at her IMDb, it looks like she doesn't do much by way of film or voice acting anymore. I'd love to ask her how she found out about and got the role of Fran. I'd also like to ask Michael E. Rodgers why he visit the role again for Dissidia. I think it has to do with the fact that he runs a film school, so maybe he just couldn't take time away.

Oh no, I wasn't knocking on him at all.
I'm sure if I voiced that many characters I wouldn't be able to keep them sorted. At least ones like Nathan Drake, Desmond Miles, Deadpool--those ones stand out more.

I mean, we never actually see the Occuria do anything, but they're the whole reason the plot happens.
