FFXIII HAS THE -EST CHARACTER IN FF HISTORY. BECAUSE YOU KNOW, FFXIII IS THE -EST GAME IN FF HISTORY. ALSO, CALLING FFXIII SPESHUL-EST IN FF HISTORY WILL MAKE PEOPLE GO "OOOHHH" AND "AAAHHH", BECAUSE THE FF HISTORY IS BIG AND HAS GIVEN BIG NAMES AND HAS WEIGHT. AREN'T WE BRILLIANT IN OUR MARKETING?

We've seen Kaias fight. He dodges, he blocks. He's too busy dramatically clashing blades with Lightning to kill her. A guy that's can't be killed wouldn't fight like that. They'd fight like Kuja. He just takes everything anyone ditches out and it makes him stronger to the point that he just straight up kills the entire party and sends them to meet their maker. THAT'S what I want from strongest existence in all of Final Fantasy, at least.

And yeah, I thought this game was three years after XIII's end, and Snow has been gone for two years, trying to find Lightning?

Really, Caius is supposed to be the strongest enemy yet? He's going to have to get a lot more impressive, real quick.

I mean, I've got nothing against him right now. He seems cool and all. Just saying that I would have never made that assumption based on what we've seen from him thus far.

Kuja did it with the power of a bunch of souls he'd absorbed from the Invincible. After allowing Zidane and co. to nearly kill him, all those souls went into Trance.

New English trailer, lots of new scenes. Hope admits he was trying to change history, we see Caius sitting on a crystal throne and blasting an approaching Serah, Serah and Noel visiting her village in the future where it's in ruins, and Lightning getting pulled into a chasm that opens in the ground and being drawn into a portal inside by dark tendrils.

We also see quick glimpses Vanille, Fang and Sazh, but Sazh is in his FF13 attire and all three are unvoiced, so I'm guessing flashback?

Do you want to play FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 in English, but with the original Japanese voice cast?
Now you have your chance. Sony Computer Entertainment Taiwan announced today that a Chinese/English language version of the game is being localized for the PlayStation 3. It’s set to release on January 31, 2012, which is the same day as North America.
You might remember something similar being released last year for FINAL FANTASY XIII. What this means is the character voices will all be in Japanese, but the subtitles will be offered in both Chinese and English! Save data from other regions is compatible with this version as well. DLC, however, will probably not be, so keep that in mind.
SCET also revealed that the normal English version of the game will be available on the same day, while the Japanese version of the game will launch in South Asia on December 15, 2011.
A Chinese language version trailer will be available on the PlayStation Store as of today as well.

Dajh pops up behind Sazh; and, if you read him in Episode 0, it doesn't seem Dajh ever was with him in any of his piloting jobs.

Well, the Shiva sisters attack Caius, so... I don't think they are on his side.

Though, we do meet

While I know others hate it, or at least dislike it, I think one of Hope's scenes is cute: the one where he says he wanted to bring everyone back (including his mother.) I feel for him.

Speculation Time!!!:

I really wonder if Caius is Lindzei - maybe Pulse, but something says Lindzei would fit the bill better - and since his original plan of eliminating humans via Cocoon and it's fall has failed, he is now taking things on personally (or again!?) in a more direct manner. The large crystal that appears in Valhalla seems to be similar to the large crystal that was behind the throne and pool in Orphan's Cradle.

^_^ Yeah, I know, 'get over it.' :P

Fuck this. I got lost when I saw Hope on that Airship. My mind was completely lost after that. HOPEEEEEEE.
And I loved what Serah said about Snow <333. Ok they are completely unproportioned but...I just don't see anyone else for her than him. *Romantic girl out*

Yeah, Hope looks to be pretty decent character in this game. Well, it's alternate future Hope from the looks of it but still. Noel gets a few points for violently hating Snow. Also Episode 1 can officially be considered discontinuity, they vastly change how things go down in this trailer.

It looks like there's an all out summon battle where Lightning is. I don't know why Caius would be trying to wipe out the summons. Well, he does seem to have Chaos Bahamut with him.

Very nice to see Fang in that trailer. I wonder how her and Vanille fit it.

It's actually rather sweet to hear that Hope was trying to change the timeline to bring them back. :)
