At least that's what I would say but I think I'm wrong about that. I was looking for evidence when I stumbled across this:

It's the 2016 Fiscal Report for the company. Admittedly I didn't pour over this too greatly but one figure on page 68 shows the following stats for sales for this year ending in March of 2016 (I rounded the figures):

JP Sales: 151,000,000,000 Yen (1,336,372,650.00 USD) (1,254,823,590.00 Euro)

NA Sales: 29,000,000,000 Yen. (256,654,350.00 USD) (240,992,610.00 Euro)

...

So now, even the strategy guides are getting Day 1 updates. This is getting so ridiculous it's not even laughable anymore. I fork over the money for the hardback guide and it's not even complete? Wtf.

I mean, a part of understands... especially games that go through arduous translation processes, sometimes thing get lost in the sauce, and guides are released incomplete... Or that they have to have all of these guides printed in time before the game is released, even if the company isn't done with it yet... but this is just downright sloppy.

At least it's free. Fuck.

We lost the battle for console gaming when we all became okay with DLC. Not that PC gaming doesn't have DLC either but they said "hey console gamers are willing to wait for content"

And then we never had a full game at launch ever again.

Yeah it's basically a Final Fantasy survival game but I find it incredibly immersive for all that. I kind of like the survival elements and the bromance is what makes it work (and the stellar combat engine).

Plus I understand the latter half of the game will be more linear / traditional FF.

Okay so the thing is I sorta accidentally ordered the game twice because I preordered from Square Enix but then later I ordered from Amazon for A King's Tale but then I sorta forgot about that but remembered the Square Enix preorder but it already shipped so I couldn't cancel it in time.
Which is not a big deal since I can just return one of them.

Anyway, point is - Amazon was punctual as always.
The Square Enix store copy which supposedly shipped on Friday?

It's still not here.

Should also be noted that even though the delivery status changed on Friday I never even received a delivery confirmation or tracking code from Square =/

Good thing I had Amazon as an accidental backup.
