I LOVED THIS :reptar: Oh my god it was so good. XD These guys are awesome. <3

Hnnnnng ooohh that looks good. When I get back to this game and all this shit is released, I'll have a field day :kermit:

So we had the majority of this panel recorded, but I wanted to share this moment with you.

It was this, along with several other moments, combined with giving Tres his gift, that the emotion of this weekend just snowballed completely. It was good emotions and good feels though. Regardless of how many of you may feel about XV, this game has changed my life this year and opened a lot of doors. I feel like I'm at a better place now in life because of this game.

;_____; Omg Lith you got up and spoke to them. <3 That was awesome and lovely and I got a bit emotional hearing that. <3 This makes me really happy :joy: <3

Ok, so after watching the Episode Iggy trailer am I the only one that thinks that
it wasn't wearing the ring that blinded him, it was the darkness spewing out of Ardyn's fucking hand that was obviously beginning to cloud his vision?

Also, I cannot believe they dropped this fucking trailer the day after EXPCon was over. I'm not over my feels dammit!

Also, Ignis being so desperate as to put on the ring to save Noctis brings tears to my eyes. Also, fuck yeah, Ravus grieving for his sister!!!

I thought that too, but his face looks burned, similar to how Nyx got all burned at the end of Kingsglaive. They probably let him borrow their powers the same way Nyx did, and took his sight as a sacrifice.

If you notice, Ardyn stops his darkness just as Ignis puts the ring on.

Episode Ignis looks like the best DLC yet. Pretty crazy given my reaction to it based off the setting compared to the others (I'm sure others felt the same.) That key art is really shoddy though. Everyone looks completely unnatural!

They've clearly gained experience from each episode, so I hope we do get that second round in 2018. Let them do the things they couldn't achieve a year ago.

Well, I don't think I'll be able to make a complete judgement call on FFXV until:

1. They're done releasing DLC (I have a Season Pass so yep).
2. I actually "start the story over" from the beginning and see what they changed.
3. I actually conquer EVERYTHING and get the best items.
4. Dissidia NT will play a factor (especially Noctis).

I'm just biding my time right now... I mean yeah, I could spend time to get more AP for the final abilities for my party, but, seriously I'm not motivated just yet.

I hope they don't retcon Lunafreya's death. The scene where she gives Noctis the ring and falls into the abyss is the high point of the narrative for me. If she doesn't die by drowning that scene really loses its impact. The idea of Ignis putting the ring on being canon (and not alternate reality as some have suggested) means he would possess it between Luna and Noct. That's not as bad, but still messier than I'd like. This DLC seems like it's going to fundamentally change the way I perceived Ch. 9. Hope it's worth it.

It was never confirmed that she died by drowning. It was a vision/spiritual connection that Noctis experienced that we saw in that FMV sequence.

Luna summoned Titan to break Leviathan's wave--to keep it from hitting the rest of Altissia. If she had drowned then Noctis probably would have too.

I wonder if that's the case. I kind of always figured that Titan just showed up on his own because Noct had beaten Levi and she wasn't acknowledging it -- so he came to put her down before she actually ended up killing Noctis.

Either way sounds good to me, though.

As for Luna, I'll admit I always thought the waves had washed over she and Noct, and that the bit where we see him taking hold of the ring in the water was literally how he acquired it. I thought he grabbed it there as it floated up to him, passed out from exhaustion, held onto the ring the entire time he was unconscious, and awoke to it still in his palm.

It seems like that will no longer be the case unless they still end up in the water. Which could happen, of course.

I have no idea what's going to happen, but I'm okay with that scene being altered a little if that's what it takes to see Iggy going Nyx Ulric on some ass.

It seems like the (spoilery?) key visual for "Episode Ignis" is getting a lot of hate. I really like it, though.

I've seen comments about Luna's hair not dangling like it should (probably a fair point), as well as Noct looking like he's levitating. I just look at that image and see Iggy's determination as he carries Noct to safety. :monster:

Can't wait for this to drop -- especially since I can actually play it now, holy fuuuuuck still can't believe that

In other news, have a hilarious Prompto photo gameplay video:

Also, this "A New Empire" trailer is so beyond ridiculous that it's almost entertaining:

So, my gf has decided she wants to watch my playthrough of the game. In what order should I introduce her to the various pieces that make up FFXV?:

-Main game
-Kingsglaive
-Brotherhood
-Dawn
-Omen
-Parting Ways
-Episode Gladiolus
-Episode Prompto

Right now, I'm thinking do Chapter 1 of the main game, then "Kingsglaive," but I don't know where to go from there. If anyone has any suggestions at all, I'll take them.

You don't have to take this up, but um, may I suggest watching/introducing Kingsglaive first and then go onto the Prologue and then the Main game? Because both formers are prequels to the main game itself and this would be easier to understand the entire thing.

Just my suggestion, you don't have to accept it.

Try just playing only the game. After finishing the game I would suggest playing the episodes DLCs (in release order) and them watch Kingsglaive and Brotherhood and read Parting Ways (which order doesn't matter).

I would suggest not watching OMEN because that trailer is only a what if made by another studio (Digic Pictures) and not Square.

Final Fantasy XV Director Talks DLC, Final Fantasy’s Future, the Nintendo Switch and More

As far as new information goes, this is what we have:

  • In regards to if Final Fantasy will always carry on with games as a service model from now on, Tabata thinks that it won't be always the case nor does it have to (at least that's what he thinks)
  • FFXIV did not factor in their desicion to go with multiplayer and game as service model.
  • No one at Square Enix thinks they can just make a game, stick a chocobo in it and call it Final Fantasy.

Here's how I'd break it out:

• Dawn — works as a good introduction to the basic concepts.
• Brotherhood — gets the introduction of the Chocobros & some backstory.

• Omen — sets the tone for how things COULD go, and is Regis Vision in Kingsglaive.
• Kingsglaive — gives you a sense that you know the world, and the scope of the conflict, giving you a bit of extra information before you dive into the game. Even though it happens during the game it's still better consumed before for newcomers.

• THE MAIN GAME!!!!
• Gladio's DLC — Seems to fit well when he returns to your party as a little interlude on the journey, rather than when he leaves.
• Prompto's DLC — Also best after you find him again, because the tension of having the members gone is part of the intrigue during the main story, and it serves like a story they tell around the campfire when they're back. Prompto's being Zegnatus-specific is good to play while you're still there.

Aside from the DLC, this is what I did with my missus — as she's the First Timer and I'm the Fan that XV talks about in the opening, and it's our favourite.

I agree with this, although I would put Brotherhood after Kingsglaive.
