Game of Thrones

When Tyrion spoke about having been on trial his whole life, I imagined that Dinklage was channeling all the anger and frustration from his own life as a dwarf. That made the moment even more powerful to me.

Tyrion Lannister has thanked you for what you've said. :monster:

Okay that was pretty neat, :monster:

As a more general remark though, I do feel the series' progression has slowed down quite a bit in the last 2-3 episodes, no real major things happening. But then, IIRC I had the same feeling about the third book, to the point where the events therein were unremarkable and easy to forget. All building up to Stuff, I guess.

That is what I really like about the 3rd book.

It also sounds like Drogon is about to get himself that taste of man-flesh early, and/or Lord Friendzone is gonna get the boot (much later than he did in the books). It would be a really powerful season end scene if they cut back to a guy with a bunch of charred bones and he's like lol it's not a goat~ and then boom credits.

But it sounds like Coldhands is FINALLY going to show up in the show, and clearly Tyrion is going to find out the truth about Tysha and start doling out some tough love. I'm looking forward to a quip about shitting gold, but I'm not looking forward to a heart-destroying scene with Shae. LIKE I'M TEARING UP THIKING ABOUT IT I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED SHAE AAAAAAAA

and ofc in the episode after the next one (9), Ygritte is going to die, too, which is going to make me burst into tears as well because I love Ygritte a lot as well ;.;

I don't really like how Sandor's wound is from Biter jumping on him and...well, biting him. In the books it happened at that inn, and one of the soldiers gave him a super deep cut in his neck. I did like the bonding he had with Arya, though, and the Hot Pie cameo was hilarious, although I'm hoping that from here things follow the books a bit more (though I doubt that it will).

I didn't find the new Mountain to be particularly impressive.

Also wtf was up with Dany's eyebrows HOW DID THEY GET LARGER

For Sibel Kekilli, the actress who plays Shae, the hardest part of the trial scene was actually when Shae named Sansa Stark as part of the fake plot as well. Kekilli argued with creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss to take out that line, but they refused.

"I had really big problems with that, with this line," Kekilli tells Zap2it. "When I read that, I thought, ‘She can’t say that.’ I think Shae really loves her and she’s said, ‘I would kill for this girl.’ She’s saying one line, and I thought, ‘Ugh, can’t she just say Tyrion did that?’ Or something like that? It’s really hard, so I tried to understand why, of course, why she’s doing it. As I said, she just got wounded now, and is just boxing around."

I'm with her.

Agreed. I thought about that as well. But at the same time, she also loves Tyrion. I don't think she blames Sansa for being married to Tyrion, but she still feels irrationally betrayed. Plenty of scenes show her feeling bitter about Tryion and Sansa's relationship and so I don't think it's too far of a stretch that she'd name both of them.

Still, I thought it would be better for her to just name Tyrion.
