I enjoyed the finale lots, but my absolute favourite scene was Littlefingers downfall in front of Arya, Sansa and Bran. So fucking satisfying.

Saw this floating around social media tonight and it gave me a chuckle.
That scene invited not only snakes, but demons into my home.

I genuinely hope they aren't going the route of having him impregnate Dany. But then again, if they aren't, I can't imagine why it and their conversation were given such significance.

Still don't understand why you torture yourself with watching if you can't stand the direction it's going in.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

For like 5 mins there was an endless stream of squees in my livingroom... first when Sam met with Bran meaning Sam's back... next when Bran confirms Jon's identity to Sam (or basically just someone without being cryptic)... then seeing Rhaegar in show for the first time (who was a little too Viserys looking and clearly twitter agrees).. With Lyanna!!.. and then BOOM Jon and Dany gettin nekked. :orgy:

Mr Channy looked over and said "You realize you're cheering for incest, right? This is worse than cousins" and I know and I can't explain it and I don't care!

And of course obligatory "Yay Littlefinger is dead!" moment... I mean.. a lot of the show basically happened and people died because of him. So.. yeah.

Bran actually got to have a real conversation with someone this episode,
victories on all fronts then.

Lmao that cat one ended me!

Idk, does anyone feel like
it's all been a bit TOO good for the last while? Like the major plot points and character moments have all been too satisfying, compared to the likes of Ned being killed in season 1 or the red wedding or what have you. Those moments all came with a "fuck sake that's both horrible and irritating".

But I suppose we're at a point where we're seeing all that pain bear fruit. Like the Arya + Sansa resolution in Winterfell with LF played out like it did because they're not going to make the same mistakes their mother/ aunt did BECAUSE the irritation happened. Other than one of the dragons, I think the last death for me that wasn't expected/ wanted was probably Margery and Loras, but it happened in such a fantastic moment that I found myself holding my glass up to Cersei as she drank her wine anyway.

I'm not complaining, I like the trajectory this story is on. I feel like Bran will have to die at some point to keep people guessing about certain things, or be captured by Cersei or something. Having him is too much power in a way. But even then if he died I wouldn't particularly care about Bran dying, more just the loss of information aspect.

I don't know why people are so bothered about the incest; the Targaeryans tended to marry their brothers/sisters anyway, which no doubt is why they ended up with madness in the family. The bigger mystery to me is why does Jon have dark hair?

I really, really enjoyed season 6's finale, but this one is definitely up there - might even be one of my personal episodes in my top 5. I genuinely feared for Jaime, though. I thought that maybe it was his time and somehow, just like Tyrion, he's also alive.

Let's face it, we all knew Dany and Jon were gonna bang. :monster:

I think I was genuinely excited that Jon's identity was finally confirmed for real. I started squealing with delight that I think all my neighbours heard me...

And then the Wall sequence, bloody hell. What a way to end the season!

Could somebody explain to me why everybody hated the celebrity cameo of
Ed Sheeran
? Is it just hate for the sake of hate, or is there a legitimate reason to dislike the person appearing on GoT? I just don't get why there has been such a hissyfit over the whole deal.

Fiction is all about suspension of disbelief. If I see someone I recognise (who isn't an actor), it breaks that suspension. It also makes me think things like "Why are they doing this? Are they promoting something? Is someone getting paid? Who is it for?". Not what I want to be thinking about when watching one of my favourite shows. It's jarring. And non-actors are usually pretty fucking terrible actors. Luckily Sheeran only had one line and the song, but I cringe every time I see Quentin Tarantino speak in one of his movies, for example.

For me personally, it's because they're everywhere. Their face, their music, topping the charts so much... one can only put up with so much of one person for so long, famous or not. :monster:
