That's a shame. I can understand not wanting to muscle in on Brock's status as either 'old dude in the group' or 'permanently without hope' by introducing a similarly aged female as a regular, but surely a Cameo would be fine.
Of course, I'd love to see the show go in ANY new direction.
I have my druthers of a timeskip series where Ash is a few years older (Maybe about 10 years or so) and a bit of a mythic figure for pokemon trainers (he really, really ought to be by now), and is the equivalent of a travelling superhero. Heck, have Dawn be the main character, and introduce Black and White as her new companions.
I'd also like a show that got into some of the implications from the two gamecube games. And ones set outside Japan, though the two we got were probably all we're gonna get for awhile.
Pignite is good for the first level. If they go the wrestler route as it seems, Fuerdo for the middle. Has the spanish sounds for Pig- Cerdo, Fire- Fuego, and Strong- Fuerte.

Also I have no idea why the fuck Ash is even still around. I'd rather have the series totally "reboot" every gen with the respecting main characters, rather than Ash who should have been Kanto-specific, run around as a prepubescent boy forever.

Since you can't get Charmanders, Bulbasaurs, Squirtles, Pikachus or Jigglypuffs in DPT without beating the game first, or by trading them or their eggs after later finally unlocking the trade function, it was the only way to start the game with my theme team. For what it's worth, the team all started at appropriately low levels, at each instance of pokemon evolution.
Also, doing the rock gym with just Charmander is rough.

I stopped watching the anime after it started being ridiculous - i.e., once third generation rolled around. XD I totally skipped the third gen games because of it, and then got Diamond because Dialga looked badass and SO DOES TORTERRA RAWR
Also, am I the only one that HATED Misty and thought she was possibly the world's biggest bitch? (well, except maybe Jessy)
