Edit: And if you seriously can't figure out how all of that stuff relates to the strategic value of battles in XII vs. other games, I don't think that additonal explanations would help much.

Topic's kinda dead to me, anyway. 5 pages, & not a single Tactics fan has showed up. I just argued about XII, my most hated game of all time, for 5 pages.

If someone else wants to make another topic like this, that's fine by me. But I don't see any point in continuing that poorly acted farce of a "debate."

The debate was by no means a farce until you made it that way. It was a perfectly reasonable discussion until you got butthurt because Dacon used a facepalm macro.

I'm a huge Tactics fan and I showed up, and said so. There was discussion about Tactics Advance, Vagrant Story, and Tactics. Even the debate about FFXII dealt with the Lucavi, part of the Alliance. You're the only one who made the debate a farce because every time you get challenged more than three times you start slinging insults.

And I'm sorry I missed you. I vaguely recalled someone responding that they PLAYED Tactics, but didn't LIKE it. And I get annoyed when people don't understand me & I have to repeat myself 72 million times. Sorry, but I REALLY think it should be self-explanatory that HP+defense+hard-hitting attacks=/=a strategic boss.

Now, I didn't want to focus on XII, but I suppose that was, unfortunately, unavoidable. I will even agree that the parts not relating to strategy have been--dare I say it?--enjoyable.

What I suppose I'm saying is that I'm sorry for being a dick, but I'm kind of on-edge right now. As I said before, "1 week here, & I've already gotten into a fight with 2 moderators, been temp banned, got my font changed*, & am probably in my way to more shit."

*=This really has more of an effect than you might think. I get that people were having a hard time reading it, & all that jazz, but having someone say, "You HAVE to change your font" is sort of restricting. I don't like feeling restricted.

Now, I have a question, especially for those very up on FF12's plot. The Lucavi being Espers, was that simply a nod or was there a plot reasoning to it that I missed? I know FFXII is centuries before Tactics, is it still after the Lucavi were defeated by the Zodiac Braves?

It could be before I guess...since its a legend told by the Glabados Church (though slightly altered), so might the Zodiac Braves have come after FFXII?

EDIT: Well...I know of course that the Lucavi possessed the Zodiac Stones, but did they always? I guess the fairytale could be a lie anyway...

I said what I did because I was frustrated with getting a million responses about the G Substance, which I noted I DIDN'T CARE ABOUT. It was ALSO insulting. These things mean a different things for the person who says them & for the target.

And that's all I will say on that subject.

There's VERY little reasoning behind it. Ajora is hinted as being active during that time, but the chronology doesn't really make sense, except under a case of extreme mindfuckery.
