Some people on KH13 forums are concerned that the game itself will end up being cancelled and the series will end in a cliff-hanger forever.

Because most people these days mostly care about quality more than anything else. I mean, ten years of waiting for Final Fantasy XV and it wasn't as what most people had hoped for.

Several years of development just for "Perfect" is worse than short-term developments. Pitch Perfect or perfectly perfect with no mistakes, even no tiny mistakes does not exist. The game is still going to have minor upsets and that never borthered anyone in the past before with the previous games. People need to accept mistakes, because making minor mistakes is part of human nature.

Well, we're not getting any younger, that's for sure. Square needs to understand that their fans who have been waiting for KH3 will never have time to even see it as they're getting older just like they are. Their biggest mistake is not concerning other people getting older and they're not getting younger either.

Sure taking time is a good thing, but taking TOO much time like several news and not even doing much is NOT such a good idea.

I have several other hobbies and I have been keeping calm and was looking forward for some good news, but it's now very clear that hope is false, just like the false hope in Final Fantasy X's story against SIN.

I was really hoping that, with last year's disaster that this year would be better at least with them giving out more good info on KH3 and at least a release date for 2018, since three years ago I have predicted that 2018 was most likely even though I had hoped that I was wrong about that and that it would come out at least one year earlier.

My point is, as I'm getting older, I'm losing more of my chances of seeing this becoming a reality.

But once again, Nomura just crushed my hopes. I don't want to end up a loser and having to give up something all over again. Plus, I don't play games everyday(only once a month when I get the chance since I'm occupied with other everyday life style like studies, work, helping out others, and even writing in my free time to keep myself from going berserk.)

But when I do get the chance to read up the news, I hope for good news. But instead, I'm left with more bad news.

*Sigh* Looks like this year is just going to be a repeat of last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, and the cycle continues, just like the cycle of SIN's death and rebirth.

Edit: And to Alex Strife-I can't move on from this because I don't want to. Sure I can do other things to keep me busy, but all I want is just good news for once and confirmination on things like this. When I do get a bit of good news and answers to what happened to the Compilation, then I'll be in complete peace. For now...I'm only 80% at peace.

Besides, if I let go now, I'll lose more of the good memories. And please, Tash is just fine.

Oh please, people have observed it's flaws, but by and large it's been a very well received game. With many going so far as to say it's renewed their interest in the franchise.

I do wish Square Enix would take notes from Capcom though.

Resident Evil VII was announced half a year ago and comes out in two weeks.
RE6 also released only nine months after the announcement.
That's how it should be. Work on the game in silence and don't reveal it until it's presentable and almost done.

Admittedly, keeping a VII Remake under wraps would have been pretty tough.

As I've said before, they have too many games to be worked on, especially big ones as well.

My other theory is that Unreal Engine 4 is a crappy program to work with, especially when they're using the said system for both KH3 and FFVII remake. They should've sticked to the program they've used for all of the KH games and sticked to the Advent Children character designs for the Remake while using the program for that.

It would save them money and gotten things done a lot better and worked on one at the time, not at the same time. There's multi-tasking, and then there's working on too many things at once.

Yeah I agree, there was absolutely no reason to announce KH III back in 2013... even announcing it NOW would have been too soon IMO

Advent Children's engine, in addition to being outdated, is not for making games. There is no conceivable way for that to work. Also Square staff aren't directly developer no the Remake, it shouldn't have any effect on how many games they're working on.

They used a similiar engine for the FMV cutscenes in Dirge of Cerberus. I think it was also used for the FMV scenes for both the openings of the Kingdom Hearts games(except for 0.2 and Back Cover since they're both using Unreal Engine 4) openings and the ending of Kingdom Hearts 2.

But I wasn't talking about the engine from Advent Children. I was talking about the designs of the characters, like how it was similiarly used in Dissidia Final Fantasy back in 2015 and even that engine Team Ninja's using for Cloud's design-both original game and his AC clothes and that was very much closer to that of Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus and even Crisis Core than what they're using now for the Remake.

I only mentioned a little bit about it before sticking back to Kingdom Hearts 3. It was Forcestealer who brought Advent Children up without mentioning Kingdom Hearts 3.

Remake rumors were always generated by wannabe gaming sites looking for attention. They were everywhere. It was the ultimate "boy cried wolf" scenario.

Yeah, KH III was announced WAY too early. I think that this is part of the problem. Even Nomura admits that.

Well, at least Kingdom Hearts 3's been in development before Final Fantasy VII Remake teaser trailer was released which was a year or two later and since we had two new images of the former last year, I hope for at least seeing Kingdom Hearts 3 released first in 2018 because I'm in no hurry to see FFVII Remake(I don't even see part one coming 'til 2019, then part two in 2020, and then part three in 2021).

Until then, I'm gonna say that the Interview on the Polygon website suspicious.

I've done a bit of researching on the site's reviews, and from what I'm seeing as I've looked, they're not as trustworthy as you would like, especially when they first started out.

Here are some examples.

And considering how they managed to catch Square and Nomura on the interviews this month, this just increases my doubts on this, especially when those Polygon interviewers suck in playing games.

You'll probably find my research doubtful, but when I see dodgy websites, especially when it's not in Japan, I'm immediately suspicious. I'm just going by my gut feelings.

Until then, well, I shall wait until the weekend to head over to Youtube to watch Back Cover.
