It's not even that I want KH to get dark, Sora is not the protagonist for that sort of thing. I just really feel like the Disney world formula is holding the stories back at this point. It's clear Disney doesn't want Nomura's final fantasy nonsense injected into their movies' stories, so the plot keeps getting shoved into the back end of the games more and more. This issue was already apparent by KH2 15 years ago, but 3 was where it was made undeniable. It feels like the KH series is having an existential crisis when I'm playing 3.

I think it's more the fact the Disney world and story inclusion within the overall KH plot, is getting progressively hollower and less well written. Frozen was particularly egregious. Disney is clearly strangle-holding the use of their IPs, particularly popular and recent ones. Frozen was doomed before it even began.

Meanwhile Pixar seem to be the opposite and insist that KH does original stories with their IPs rather than retellings, even implying that the Toy Box stuff could've totally happened between Toy Story 2 and 3.

It's more like they communicated and collaborated with each individual team that worked on these movies and they all had different requests/requirements etc

Not to make a complaint or anything, but how is it that Final Fantasy VII Remake gets it's Soundtrack to be listened to including the cutscenes, and yet two years on Kingdom Hearts 3(including ReMind) still doesn't have all of it's soundtrack except for fields and battle themes and Square Enix still said nothing about releasing a CD soundtrack for it?

Is it due to legal issues with Disney or they just decided not to bother releasing Kingdom Hearts soundtrack anymore and just focus on Final Fantasy?

The save editor for KHIII has been updated for RE:Mind, turns out that some maps don't force you to play as Sora, but not using him can cause lighting and sound issues:

Melody of Memory? Hmm....Either this was one of the worked on titles of Dark Road or it's another upcoming KH Spin off before KH4. Given how Nomura never keeps anything well organized, it could be the latter since he never keeps to his promises that much either when it comes to directing games.

But I'm gonna go with the former for the time being until we know further information. The Melody of Memory title though is kinda pretty. I like it.

Also, someone pointed out something very interesting on Reddit regarding the logos, if Sora is playable the K in Kingdom and S in Hearts are short, but if they are long, that means Sora isn't playable. Compare BBS and 358 with KHI and KHII to see for yourselves.

Or even look at the Dark Road logo and KHI.5 and 2.5 logos a few posts up.

Could he be the Master of Masters reincarnated like Luxu had done only with Braig/Xigbar? Now I really need to know! Also, I'm more interested in Vox, but guess we'll wait and see.

FINALLY! It's about time! Guess there was some issues since there was more than just Yoko composing the game's music this time, but hey, whether we get it late this year or early next year, at least it's finally confirmed after almost two years of waiting.

Nah, I bet we'll play as either Riku, or
[SPOILER(ReMind Spoiler)] Roxas and Xion due to what Riku said in ReMind. Or maybe even Data Sora like in Re:Coded. So the Data Sora in Radiant Garden could've been hinting Data Sora's return and we return to the Datascape, considering how Re:Coded played an important role regards to Terra, Ventus, Aqua, Roxas, Xion, Axel and Namine, and how Union X's going with Ven's pastself and the others currently stuck until further updates. I'd say that we're not done with the Datascape quite yet
. It'd be cool to actually play as Kairi...but at the moment, but that's a wishful thinking.

Either way, I'm looking forward to Melody of Memory, but I don't think we'll get it this year. Next year is my best guess.

I think I've figured out the meaning of both the ending of Limit Episode and the entire plot of the Secret Episode of ReMind, combined with what we've seen in the trailer of Melody of Memory.

Based on how Yen Sid states, through the Fairy Godmother, that the connection in finding Sora through the dreams of Riku, Kairi and the third person with the Final World being shown, then we see Yozora battling Sora before vanishing and then waking up in a car in his world, and then we see Kairi in the Final World of the Trailer, I think that the third person connected in saving Sora is not the Nameless Star girl, but Yozora himself and that Kairi may have requested him to save Sora, hence to why Yozora said that he was asked to save Sora.

To me, this makes a bit of a perfect sense.
