As it happens, I am wealthy enough that I could probably afford tickets, transportation and lodgings for everyone, but A: I cba, and B: I'm in the process (which is slow, arduous, filled with doubts and this'll-all-end-in-tears, etc), which'll probably cost me all of my savings, 30 years of my life, and I'd probably still be miserable. If living a bit more comfortably. Maybe. Anyway, I could, but cba.

Also the chance of my beard getting touched just isn't compelling enough to shell out the amount of money I'd need to do to go there, sorry,

I also just realized even if I could go, I probably wouldn't make it. Our town airport is the shiiiiitiest in the winter, barely 10% of flights get out at any given time from Nov - March... I'd probably have to drive 3-4 hours to either Spokane or Kelowna for a city airport and fuck that shit in the winter.

Now I don't feel so bad

Really? I'm planning to fly out of Sea-Tac they've never let me down in the winter.

Although depending on how bad the CDN$ is it may be cheaper to fly from Vancouver.

Our dollar is horrible, yup, but I'm in the middle of nowhere Ite. Our airport (Castlegar, which is affectionately called Cancelgar during the winter) gets maybe, maybe one flight out or in a day during the months. It doesn't have proper lights/navigation for the planes so often, the plans will come to Castlegar, see that it's too foggy/snowy/rainy and turn and fly the hour back to wherever it came from and have people wait the next day. No joke.

And again, closest cities being Spokane or Kelowna, both 4 hrs away (in the winter). Vancouver is 8 hrs, for perspective.

Mr. Lith is trying to guilt me out of this one too, but I think with some careful planning I can pull it off. His only concern is meeting people I've only talked to over the internet.

He doesn't know I won the ticket yet.

BTW KupoNuts, my ticket for Distant Worlds has been bought, courtesy of my grandmother. I'm going to the 8pm showing, ONLY because the 3pm Meet n Greets were sold out for that one. (I had the money for the ticket, which I pulled out of my August comic con fund, but not the meet/greet part. I'm paying her back when I go home for the July 4th weekend.)

Go to whatever time you feel might suit you best! Winning the ticket gave me a little bit of extra funds, and I told Tenny earlier, I'm going to KupoCon for myself just as much as you guys, so I wanted to make another aspect of my trip special, because I have no idea when DW will be close to me again, as they haven't done a show in Atlanta in quite some time.

Most of my family was like that for my trip to London in 2014. They thought all of those misconceptions about people online and I had to explain to them that I met on a gaming site, that I've spoken, video chatted and played games for years were normal people just like me. My grandma even warned about something like Taken happening to me and I told her "well then Liam Neeson is gonna save me". She did not find that funny.

DW - Really I'll seat anywhere so long as it isn't way out back.

How long are you guys planning to stay in NJ? I mean before the police kicks us out of Case de Avec for lewd behavior.

As far as how long people plan on staying - I am totally happy to host you guys for the weekend of the con/DW, but I don't know if I can host you for a week or whatever, what with the Spring semester starting right before the con plus possible travel plans of my own plus what I'm sure would be interpreted as anti-social tendencies of needing a quiet place to retreat to after hanging out with all you crazies that weekend

Yeah it would be rather difficult having quiet time with people having orgies in your living room.

But seriously since I would like to be there at least 5 days I could spend the weekend with you and do the other 2 or 3 nights at a hotel.

I'd also recommend looking into Airbnb. Sometimes you can find a place cheaper than a hotel would be.

Suggestions are being taken as to what cards you want to see in the Tri-Pom deck, the exclusive cards being modelled after the Triple Triad game of FFVIII.

Even if one's opinion of FFVIII is low, that mini-game/quest is fun and cards modelled like them are gonna look class.

You can make suggestions here and I'll make sure to mention them myself whenever I get around to posting there.

Personally, I'm Nanaki-everything so I'm gonna keep my opinions under restraint until it's fitting

Also, what level of ticket is everyone getting for the con? Obviously Tenny has an Ultima ticket, but there are two other levels - basic day pass, or a pass that gets you in for the day plus whatever "evening" event they have going on. They haven't, as far as I know, made any announcements about what that is going to entail, plus it's also a Sunday night, whatever that may mean for everyone's plans/schedules...
