A Few Good Men.
I pretty much agreed with
Ebert's review - if not for the scene he mentions it would probably be worth of a 9 or 10. Sorkin apparently still had a bit to learn about dramatic effect. Thta said, as it is I'd give it a 7.5 or so, maybe an 8 for Nicholson's performance in the end.
I also saw From Here to Eternity. It was technically a very well made film but I couldn't really identify with any of the characters and felt every major male character made a number of ridiculously stupid choices which kind of undercut the sympathy I initially had for them. Still there's no denying the impact of certain scenes, particularly the acclaimed beach scene and the bombing. 8/10
Other than that i've mostly been watching Arrested Development episodes.
