No, I don't think so, the Unseen Realm was not destroyed in the end. Yeul and Caius are there to maintain the balance of the world, like Etro did.

about the Moogles, the people believed they were fairy tales, and its funny to see the NPCs reaction in XIII-2 when you use the mog "treasure detector". XD

I'm glad they showed Lightning in her OG, almost all the streams I were watching didn't use em and I thought that perhaps the stats on that outfit weren't worth it. But if it can beat Bhuni on normal it should be fine.

I remember watching that stream and that one attack he does where it zooms out, people were just saying "Supernova" over and over again. Good times.

EDIT: The worst part of the ending is that we know that it is tacked on. FFXIII ending fairly perfectly and early development in XIII-2 suggest it was connected to Type-0, not the real world. U R IN THE REAL WORLD NOW/It was really a creation myth stories are, imo, hard to pull off. This one not only feels contrived with almost nothing in the actual game to link or foreshadow to it, we know it wasn't the original plan.

The crimson blade (default) is the key to the default schema's strength. Apparently once you fix it it becomes the strongest weapon in the game, and that's a rather nice touch.

I heard the attack is actually called Hypernova.

As for the ending... I really don't wanna say more to it as I may be speaking too early in forming such conclusions, having not played the game and only watching things through that I can barely understand and only refer to translations.

I think that it was a proper ending to the game itself but not very much to the entire trilogy. The reason for this is that XIII and LR were both created with the mindset of having each game as a standalone. There was no initial plan for a sequel for XIII, and for LR there was the mindset that even if you haven't played the previous games you can still delve into its story and enjoy it. Therefore their endings could only perfectly wrap up their own respective stories.

This is how I personally feel at the moment. I generally like both endings but the feeling is rather disjointed.

It's like there's XIII and then an AU was created consisting XIII-2 and LR's stories lmao. And LR is certainly more recognizable as a sequel to XIII-2 than XIII-2 was to XIII. I could enjoy that to some extent as I can't simply dismiss and ignore some of the ideas they presented in the sequels that I rather liked, but it's not something I wished to happen for the XIII series.

Im not sure if anyone else has said this or linked it, but has anyone thought the ending was just a sort of foundation for FF15 (FF verse 13). 15 had the tag line "fantasy based on reality" and the footage in trailers of ff15, has vehicles and buildings that resemble much of those on earth. Also etro is mentioned in FF15 as its still apart of the same mythos the fabula nova crystallis. Maybe its just away of connecting the series together? but hey what do i know? its just a thought?

Mmm nope. Nopeee.

They've been saying this for years now, and they reconfirmed last time on FFXV's re-reveal. They ain't connected in ANY way, the only thing they share is the content info of the mythos.

Yeah, Type-0 and XVersus are separate continuities. All three FNC settings have an Etro, Pulse, etc. but they aren't exactly the same Etro, Pulse, etc. and everything else is different.

the whole "souls will be lost if you forget about them" reminds me of the scene when Lightning crystallizes herself and promises to keep Serah alive in her heart.

It kind of reminds me of Type-0 as well, where you forget any memories of someone who dies.

Also yas at the Fanille. They didn't hold back with the implications of their relationship and it makes me happy. fanille is so important

With statements (as I've been told he's saying) like "my beautiful goddess" and "let me adore you". Sorry, those aren't statements said to someone just out of the blue, so I'm seeing them as romantic sentiments.
