How is it 'a lot' to assume? It's the typical assumption, in fact. Hell, after sleeping with each other, sleeping with each other in a literal sense only makes sense.

It can be about the LTD as much as it can't be... in my opinion.

That would require giving a shit about the LTD and romance in a game that only vaguely pays lip service to the romance of the most romantically minded games, and doesn't even mention the only fuckdamn wife of the lot.
Again, I repeat the mantra- if Cecil no get no nookie, then nobody no get no nookie.

Again, I would normally assume the null and that Cloud was sleeping on a bed. But I was just following from my earlier assumption that they don't share a room so she wouldn't be sleeping next to him.

An assumption you only seem to make because you don't want to envision the two sharing a room even though it's the general standard for grown men and women living together.

Anyways, I'm wondering why other people debate about the LT. How many of you actually like Cloti or do you just like what's canon? If Cloti wasn't canon would you not like it anymore?

I like Cloti. It's not my #1 pairing (Tifa/Aerith is), and Cloud's not my favourite FFVII male character (Cid is), but I like Cloti because of the way the story between Cloud and Tifa was written. For me, when considering and debating what actually happened in the story or to the characters, then one can't go wrong by following the canon.

I can't say whether or not I'd like Cloti if it weren't canon because it not being canon would require a serious rewrite of the existing story and the characters.

As for Cleriths.. I don't know, it seems like they keep saying there's nothing that's canon, but they keep trying to show merchandise, commercials and sayings from Japanese people as if Japanese people liking a pair makes it more canon.

It's always been like this, though. "No pairing is canon, but utimately Clerith is."

My favourite is: "Both pairings are equally canon because Cloud loves both women equally. However, in the end Clerith is the true canon because Cloud loves Aerith equally but more."

He says that Yuko is beautiful and so is the room and they go together well. It is then dropped and never spoken of again, ever. No asking to go out, no following it up, Zack waxes poetic once and then immediately goes back to Aerith. Flirting it could possible be, but paying a beautiful woman a single compliment and then dropping the subject entirely is not 'hitting on them'

Seriously, though- Zack is so the prototypical Hero it would just be off message for Lawful good Ace and tragic hero whose tragic flaw is his unstoppable drive towards heroism to be a two timing womanizer. It just does not add up.

What this probably is, is Zack being genuinely complimentary, being 'sweet and naive' as Cissnei describes him. And likewise, Aerith gets jealous because he IS so open and forthright with everyone including other women- not because he actually is, but because she's worried, she's irrationally jealous.
She's, dare I say it, human. Flawed. NOT FUCKING MATERIA JESUS.

Yes, Zack is extremely charming to women. So's Cloud. Neither apparently realizes it.
In any case, the Zack was a playboy bullshit is generally used to preface that Aerith wuz ttly over his ass, which is 'ttly' not the case.

Actually, I'm sure he was talking about Aerith given the scenery and the fact that he looked up as he said it. Recall the last scene like that involving him in the bottom of the Northern Crater.

In any event, given that he's still hung up on his guilt and wanting to meet Aerith to get her forgiveness during the time of Dissidia, I don't feel that line is implied to be romantic.

Once, Tifa half jokingly said to Denzel that she was the one cooking their meals every day. Denzel also said in a grown up manner that he cleaned the house and the bar every day too.

It was true, and he done a very thorough job of cleaning. When she asked him if it was his passed away mother who taught him how to clean, he answered no. The following day, Tifa asked Cloud who taught Denzel how to clean. Denzel had revealed it to Cloud. And Tifa was a little hurt.

Denzel is criminally underrated as a compilation character IMO. His story is infinitely more interesting than any of the characters introduced in CC or DC.

That being said, there's a reason why we never get internal perspective from Aerith once Cloud and Tifa adopt him. Even if she had designs on "meeting" Cloud again, those desires would have been dropped once the Strife family comes to be. Any other action would decimate her character.
