Also, in Sovereign's defense, what a creator might say doesn't always have to be relevant to the actual storyline. The creator can be implying one thing, but the audience can view that one thing into something completely different, and who's to tell that the audience is wrong as long as it fits and makes sense? But of course, a lot of this commentary is most likely canon, otherwise if it was just all about interpretation there would be no use of creating character profiles or timelines in the first place.
