Eh I had a similar experience when they were discussing how Tifa only wanted Cloud to be famous. I said that wasn't true and the Crisis Core Ultimania said he believed in him. I was told she only believed in his promise and some other stuff and to go to TNC if I wanted to discuss it further

Equating Clerith to drug use makes more sense. Apparently both impair judgement and rational thinking. I have the source of Clerith nailed down, the hypothetical pairing of Cloud and Aerith causes people with a certain brain chemistry to hallucinate "evidence" and auditory hallucinations of the creators saying "Oops, we contradicted ourselves with that filthy Cloti stuff. We obviously designed her to be a demonic whore, a succubus in trampy clothes." Other effects of the syndrome include paranoia, disconnection from reality, and lurking.

Clerith is a disease, my friends. It is time to lay down our arms (the obvious ones, keep your hold-out weapons in case they attack) and try to heal these poor souls. Only question is, do we go with medication, brain surgery... or euthanasia?

One thing I like about debating is that you can find holes in your own arguments and patch them. Shroudy brought up a couple interesting points in our one on one that I hadn't thought of before...

I know they don't know about the relationship charts saying "childhood friends" for Lulu and Wakka, or like their stance on how Nojima in his recent interview is saying 'BAsed on these problems, Cloud and Tifa shouldn't get married." which COMPLETELY ignores love and family which he plainly states. I know no one's ever brought that point up to them.

This is why they needed a pink fortress, to keep out anyone who might question the one truth of CXA. The walls there are no doubt festooned with fanart of Tifa dying in Aerith's place, Tifa with a forked tail and hooves, etc. There are effigies of Tifa within for people to burn and stab and defile.
