I think it's mostly just trolling since he is the face associated with both movies, I'm sure he's a good actor, just plays in unfortunate movies :monster:

Everyone I've spoken to has said the same thing and I can believe it because I also thought he was the best part of the film obviously after Wonderwoman.

In retrospect, Ben was fine. I just didn't like this version of Batman. (not because they changed it from the comics, but because i'm not sure the writers liked the character.)

Film doesn't deserve all the hate, though.

Just realized, when Ben is playing Bruce Wayne (not Batman), he is playing the same as he played George Reeves in Hollywoodland. Which is not a complaint, I rather like the idea of Bruce Wayne putting on an act as a charming lush.

I'm very conflicted right now. I had fairly mixed feelings towards the movie itself, but I want it to succeed so the DCU isn't killed, but I don't want to succeed so well that they use this film as their model into the future, but I don't want them to change the model so much they're trying to make Marvel movies (which I'm concerned about because of rumoured reshoots with 'more humour').

So long as Jason Momoa is Aquaman, I don't see the DCCU movies ever going the full Marvel route. #JustSaiyan

Insofar as the Suicide Squad reshoots are concerned, it's because apparently LITERALLY every single joke in the entire film was shown in the trailer. And if that humor was received well in the tone there, it being essentially absent from the whole rest of the film itself would've been them finding a tone that people liked, advertising it, and then delivering something totally different. – Essentially they're just attempting to deliver what they advertised.

I have a laundry list of things in this movie that don't make sense, aren't explained, or are just stupid, but I wanna bring up one.

Did they even mention Diana's name? Whether Wonder Woman or Diana? Did I just miss it? Cause she's sprinkled throughout the movie, and is one of the 3 fighting the final fight of the movie. Hell, she does 10x more than Batman does in that fight. And seeing her name on an email doesn't count, if they even showed that.

Flight attendant calls her "Ms. Price" at the end of the film. That's pretty much it though.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks.

All I know about Jason Momoa is he was Khal Drogo, so I'm not sure what you're saying there.

Well, he was Khal Drogo and also Conan, so when it comes to playing Warrior Kings, he has a type that he was obviously chosen for to bring to Aquaman. That type is notably different from the way we typically see Arthur portrayed visually, and if the tone matches his previous roles and the visual changes, that's pretty far from what Marvel has done with their more strange, colourful heroes or even how DC dealt with Aquaman's stigma as a lame character in the comics.

Aquaman's stigma as a lame character in the comics.

I have never really understood exactly where this idea came from. Seems like he is nearly always treated as a joke, but he is the king of Atlantis, so doesn't that make him de facto owner of like 2/3 to 3/4 of Earth?

Although, I honestly forget what his powers are. I assume he can breath underwater, and I think I remember something about controlling fish. Seems like there is more, but I got to no clue here.

I do intend to see all these DC movies (probably not all in theatres), but I can't for the life of me get excited about any of them. Even this one, despite that this trailer wasn't half bad.

You know they're doing something very bad with Superman when you see a whole trailer for the Justice League without him and you don't miss him.

Which is a shame, 'cause I actually thought "Man of Steel" was quite good. It just didn't feel like the springboard for a franchise the way "Iron Man" was able to be.

Iron Man could slip under the radar because he wasn't that well known beyond comics fans, but a Batman or a Superman movie will always have to meet insanely high expectations.

Watched a review of the EE (and the comments, actually) and apparently it clears up a lot more in that edition.

That honest trailer was gold, it took some time to stop cackling when they scrolled Luthor's plan.

The trailer's music was kinda overbearing, and I thought it was odd having Bruce meet with everyone as himself since his secret identity is usually kind of a big deal. Either way, it certainly looks interesting for a small bite of what they will be like together.
